Collymore Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 Go to 1:13 in the interview for the people who haven't heard it :P :P http://news.bbc.co.u...ity/9669627.stm .
Mack Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 Stringer does this again and again. Like his "Is Yuke Abe still at the club?" gaff. He pretends it's by mistake but I'm sure he does it to push Pearson's buttons. We should start a sweep on how long it will be before Pearson bans him again.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 Stringer just gets on everyones nerves, I'd love for him to ask one good question for once.
Finnegan Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 Jesus it's cringeworthy. I suppose he thinks he's brave and cutting edge. He just comes across as a twat. I'm not saying Pearson shouldn't ever be challenged but there's ways and means of going about it and it's not especially helpful Stringer stirring the pot when the man's only been in the job for a matter of weeks. What a mammary gland.
dave the caveman Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 When Pearson gets riled by and can't deal effectively with someone like Ian Stringer, it's not hard to see why he is struggling so much with the players.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 Proper funny that is. Leicester Clueless Football Club.
ibbosuk Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 The fans statement, via Stringer wast bang on, we did look clueless. It got under Pearson skin because he knew it was a true statement. I hope Stringer continues to voice peoples thoughts back to the manager. Pearson knows what to do if he can't take the criticism.
Yojoe36 Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 And? That is fact. We are clueless. Also, I praise Stringer for being striaght with him, and not be a pussy by going around it.
accessory Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 Absolutely. Pearson's platitude about changing things have no impact whatsoever when he comes out with them FIVE games in a row.
lovelcfc Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 you can tell nigel is as frustrated as us tho tbf
accessory Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 But he isn't, is he? We've had to watch this dross all season - he's only seen nine games.
Happy Fox Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 The players need to be held accountable for far too long they have been let of the hook I bloody well hope most of the deadwood are gone come the end of January.
broughtonblue Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 When Pearson gets riled by and can't deal effectively with someone like Ian Stringer, it's not hard to see why he is struggling so much with the players. This
He's not bald Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 Stringer missed his chance here, when Pearson said "what do you mean by clueless" he should have replied, well Nigel the Cambridge Dictionary definition is "having no knowledge of something, or of things in general" Fight!!!!!
Babylon Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 Don't have a problem with him mentioning that, but the was he presented the point was "clueless" as he wasn't 100% on what the fans thought was clueless.
dalmation18 Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 Stringers blocked me from his twitter account - look like his skins not that thick. Deeply cowardly man. Pathetic.....'ohhh its not me Nigel, I don think your teams clueless......honest' Embarassment to Radio Leicester. Cant wait until Nigel bans him again.
Tuna Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 at that moment i would liked to have whispered in stringer's ear 'i'd be shitting myself i were you'
ithuriel Posted 1 January 2012 Posted 1 January 2012 Stringers blocked me from his twitter account - look like his skins not that thick. Deeply cowardly man. Pathetic.....'ohhh its not me Nigel, I don think your teams clueless......honest' Embarassment to Radio Leicester. Cant wait until Nigel bans him again. :xmaslaugh: you can see a ban coming, there is real enmity between them :xmaslaugh:
Matt Posted 1 January 2012 Posted 1 January 2012 As much as Stringer annoys me I see it from both points, maybe not neccesrily the 'clueless' bit but Stringer is a fan, and he is asking questions fans are asking, Stringer also asked an 'obvious' but probing question about SSL which Pearson replied sarcasticly but gave the obvious answer, like I said whist annoying Stringer is stuck in the middle it's his job, it's what the fans are asking themselves and it's question we want answering.
LTWD Posted 1 January 2012 Posted 1 January 2012 i thinks its pearsons job for the fans to answer creditable questions because we are in a mess, just hope they get some quality in this month
fleckneymike Posted 1 January 2012 Posted 1 January 2012 I thought it was a perfectly reasonable question which Pearson dealt with complete contempt. He attempted to intimidate Stringer then he offered no answer other than people are entitled to their opinions. Having seen every game since Pearson's return can anyone say we have improved or that our tactics involve anything other than getting the ball forward as quickly as possible via a hoof from Matt Mills? I'd call that approach clueless.
Babylon Posted 1 January 2012 Posted 1 January 2012 I thought it was a perfectly reasonable question which Pearson dealt with complete contempt. The question is reasonable, the way he phrased it wasn't particularly clear. When Stringer actually explained himself Pearson answered and they moved on.
fleckneymike Posted 1 January 2012 Posted 1 January 2012 The question is reasonable, the way he phrased it wasn't particularly clear. When Stringer actually explained himself Pearson answered and they moved on. Seemed clear enough to me "People calling in post match saying - using words like clueless, which I'm sure you can probably understand but the frustration in the fans is there, you can hear that you feel that I'm sure" "Do you want to elaborate on that whad'ya mean" "How does it effect [sic] you knowing the fans are so frustrated in the stands?" "Well I don't understand what you mean by clueless, what are you intimidating [sic]?' "No I'm not. Post match people have called in suggesting that the team looked I'm just quoting some of our the fans of the football club have called in post match and said that the players look clueless, that's not my opinion for the record" "Erm that's their prerogative to have those to have those opinions, the bottom line is this that we are not ...err that the squad that has been assembled here is imbalanced and I will adress that and I will cut away the dead wood and I will bring in players who want to be at this football club fullstop." Nige fixates on the word clueless, gets defensive, blames someone else and promises to fix it.
