Wes Morgan from the Forest Scum

We shouldn't be surprised, he showed last time he was here he's happy to replace a good player with a mediocre one if he doesn't get on with him. (Gradel - N'Guessan). Bamba clearly isn't his type of defender either, it was nice while it lasted Sol. :glare:

I agree that bamba is a good player he is a crowd pleaser but his style of defending has no place in the championship and it won't get you promoted I still believe He would make an awesome midfielder.

Only that he THOUGHT SSL probably regrets his outburst before the ipswich game. Something that we all probably think. But it has no relevance at all.

Absolutely. The Merc were being pretty sneaky by giving it the headline 'Sean St Ledger 'regrets fall-out' with Leicester' as the player himself has nothing to do with the article.

bambas moving into the midfield alongside danns.

I actually think he'd make a very good defensive midfield player and i think he played in that position @Hibs on numerous occasions.

I'm sorry but it took two years for Gradel to reach the level he was when he left Leeds. He didn't even start most games for Leeds when he first went there. Lets not make out he was an amazing player when he was with us, he had promise but that's all he had at the time.

My biggest gripe will be if he get's rid of SSL. I respect a manager who has principles and if a player disrespects those and he decides to dispose of them then fair enough. However, Pearson has played SSL in the last 2 games and he's been outstanding in both of them. Even if we have been short on numbers, Nigel could have left him out but he's given him another chance and he's done well. If he get's rid of him still then it smacks of Pearson being unprofessional because this isn't about a lack of talent. St Ledger is better than Wes Morgan, James Chester and equally as good as Bamba and Mills.

But this all stems from him NEEDING to be a first choice CB to be starting for Ireland at the Euros. Rather harsh to pin this on Pearson when it's SSL who is the instigator in this problem by throwing his dummy out about not playing.

What we basing that on the last two games? A few decent games for Ireland? His performaces in Prestons relegation? That's your opinion, but the one that matters is Pearsons. He may have looked better the last two games, but actually look at how many chances Saints had and the ones even forest had with a terrible attack. We are far from solid at the back yet.

SSL has always been the same. Do you remember him on that programme Big Ron Manager when he was playing at Peterborough? He came across as a right bell-end.

So what, we can't disagree with it? Pearson rated Robbie Neilson for christ sake and I was in tears when it was just a rumour, are we all supposed to ignore these thoughts in our head just because Pearson thinks differently? I've watched Morgan enough times to be totally against this move and I couldn't care less what our manager thinks on the matter, if we're seriously spending £1 million on that lump who's free in the summer then we might as well bid 3-4 million for someone decent or better still, sort the bastard scouting system out we picked up Bamba for 250k when we had a manager who had contacts.

Like Mills?

or better still, sort the bastard scouting system out we picked up Bamba for 250k when we had a manager who had contacts.

You mean someone who can buy Chester and Stewart for 300k a piece, or Hobbs for 400k, or Cleverley and Davis on loan..... yeah, if only we had a manager who can do that.

What a fan who spends hundreds on a season ticket?? Okay then 

Fan? A fan wouldn't stop going to watch Leicester because an average CB who has done the square root of feck all for us yet left.

If "Fans" stopped going every time their favourite player got sold there would be no fans left at any club in the world except Barcelona.

I had a similar feeling when Alan Rogers left, but I kept going.

It was tough but I got through it and became stronger for it.

Being able to share that shows how far you've come. :)

I appreciate what you're saying but in my opinion St Ledger has been our best defender this season when he's played. He's made one mistake which he was villified for but other than that he's been solid. His passing and use of the ball from the back has been the difference in the last 2 games, it's stopped the needless hoofing which put pressure on us and prevented us from playing our pressing game. You can't deny what he's done for ROI either, he's keeping out some decent defenders there as well.

For me, it was the departure of Lee Marshall that did it for me... I ripped up my season ticket at that point and got a seat in the family stand at the Tigers... So that I could clap when the opposition scored a tripe.. Sorry.. A try

If Bamba leaves I'm going to find a local ice hockey team to support.. Or possibly speedway..

So you haven't seen a difference in our style of play from the Portsmouth, Palace and Barnsley games compared to the Forest and Southampton games? We've stopped the aimless hoofs all the while, which cannot be any coincidence that St Ledger has been pivotal to this. His pass completion rate must be 95% plus.
