m00nie Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Why would Pearson start st ledger or Beckford or mills if they were going? It's not logical. who else would he play?? bambas away , tunch may be struggling for match fitness.. needs to play at least one of them, probally both.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 My Money is definitely on Bamba being sold. He isnt here, we are doing well without him, he is playing in a tournament being shown around the world and starting for the tournament favorites.... Who kept a clean sheet in their first game... i would be EXTREMLY suprised if we dont get a £3m+ bid for him soon.... fingers crossed.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Didn't Mills tap the club badge after he scored? Isn't that an indication that he likes the club? or more of a dig to the southampton fans (ex player)though to be fair i thought he was pointing at his armband whilst running to SSL!
DanTheFox07 Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 after being there last nite, one thing is sure! pearson has a massive problem with st ledger and mills playing as well as they did last nite together, our defence was solid with those 2! I like bamba but unless he can fit him in the team with ledger and mills playing can see him cashing in on bamba?

Timing etc .... Not done bamba no favours , plus our results cleans sheets etc he could be on the outside looking in? I think Blackburn will come knocking again.??
Libertine Dream Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 In the last 2 windows how many transfers have the papers got right having broken the news out of the blue? Its just drivel which has no substance. Its only becuase Gerrard was at Hull and some have questioned Mills and Beckford that this story was created. No discussion needed.
Matt Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 If the two players in question keep it up then fair enough but people have forgot 2 games ago we'd have happily got rid of both, why the sudden change? Coincidence, possibly, not saying it isn't but it is strange how they look like 2 different players in the last 2 games. They've either bucked up their ideas and a kick up the backside has done them good or they are playing well to get themselves in the shop window, I struggle to believe it is the latter option and i'm not gonna go on about it, i'll draw a line under it aslong as they continue their good form but it does make me ask the question why were they so poor before and how do you just 'click' and produce they good performances in the last 2 games, not compaining or ownt but they have litterally gone from shite to excellent.

TheUltimateWinner Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Thanks BBC for pointing this out... Leicester will make a move for Cardiff defender Anthony Gerrard if they can sell either £5.5m record signing Matt Mills or Sean St Ledger. Manager Nigel Pearson wants a clearout of the expensive buys brought in under Sven Goran Eriksson and striker Jermaine Beckford has been told he can leave. Read more: http://www.dailymail...l#ixzz1kPLV9Vjl Sounds alot like tosh too me but still... Also anthony would consider a move to the King Power Stadium...
Fox92 Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Hope St Ledger stays. Best defender at the club IMO.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Hope St Ledger stays. Best defender at the club IMO. x2 I've spoken to fans of other clubs too... They agree, And also they think pearon is a muppet for transfer listing him
hbkkids Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Don't want any of them to leave, Pearson don't know what he is doing if he let's any of them leave Hope St Ledger stays. Best defender at the club IMO. agreed
Guest Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Hope St Ledger stays. Best defender at the club IMO. apart from Bamba, Konchesky, Peltier, Pantsil, Mills and probably a few others that I've forgotten.
Finchy Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 apart from Bamba, Konchesky, Peltier, Pantsil, Mills and probably a few others that I've forgotten. I'd tend to agree with this. Apart from Paintsil. A couple of good performances has really made people talk some shite about St Ledger.
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 It didn't look like anyone was playing like they were leaving last night, even allowing for the shop window scenario. I think it's BS!
The Quick Brown Fox Posted 25 January 2012 Posted 25 January 2012 Its a interesting one, as others have said it could be to reduce the wage bill. We have to remember these were not NP signings so who knows what he wants to do with them?
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 25 January 2012 Posted 25 January 2012 Daily Fail also says we have agreed a fee with Stoke for Marshall, no one else has, including the Mercury. Its Bullshite, nothing more nothing less. Mills and Ledge have kept 2 clean sheets and both had an assist in the past 2 games, why would we sell them? I'd be more worried about Bamba leaving than either of these. As for Beckford, he became the 2nd person ever to score a hatrick against the scum for us, and as games go on, he is getting better and better. This article doesn't merit all this speculation, is dogshite
Babylon Posted 25 January 2012 Posted 25 January 2012 Lots of stuff just popped up on twitter saying that Ken Bates has just said Beckford was offered back to them last month. Not seen a source of where he has said this though.
Pub breath Posted 25 January 2012 Posted 25 January 2012 Lots of stuff just popped up on twitter saying that Ken Bates has just said Beckford was offered back to them last month. Not seen a source of where he has said this though. He did say it. That doesn't mean it's true because most of the other bullshit in the interview was exactly that. However, it does seem to start to tally up. Of course, clearly we have no intention of doing the deal if it is true otherwise he wouldn't have mentioned it. Tight fisted, cantankerous old shithouse.
Lisburn Fox Posted 25 January 2012 Posted 25 January 2012 Not true very lazy paper talk, thats about it.
