Not going to comment on wages etc because the manager and owners know whats appropriate,

As to if id take him back...YES! He's not going to play a huge part but, as a super sub and a guy to have around the club would be ideal great for younger blokes (anyone remember that fella Waghorn?.. he could learn a bit).

A city legend, who, if he WANTS to play for us, would be an asset.

He would have to have more to offer than just playing, Like Chrissy now at charlton he was a great inclusion not just to the team but to the morale and the back room staff and now look at him! :( Still miss his penos he used to take before kick off at the away end of the ground. I remember when the swansea steward told him not too nearly knocked him out :P So maybe Heskey would approach this in the same way play for a year rolling contract but have him in mind to train up his coaching side, At the end of the day we will welcome him with open arms purely because of the past.

He gets a lot of stick, but he can hold the ball up really, really well. Obviously, he is getting on abit now but I think he could still be an important part of the team, especially the way we play.

As few people have said yes for a supersub and to be a part time coach he has international, championships league experience has alot to offer the younger guys

Not for me no... A season or so ago then I'd have loved Emile back.. At 34 he's pushing it for fitness and may well be an expensive player who don't actually play very much.

Heskey as a coach? Nah don't think so

IMO the club should be building for the future, not living in the past

Hungry younger players is what we need I think..

A la Drinkwater.

I would of said no no no but look at the pros

Pros-

BIG MAN!

One of the best players at holding up the ball in existence

Would fit in at championship level

Club legend

England Veteran

With young England Hopefuls like Waghorn and other INTL strikers like Schlupp they would benefit from his insight.

Possible move into coaching and team development

CONS-

BIG MAN!

Possible fitness issues

Work rate not enough?

How much can he offer time wise?

Career ending soon

We have howard

His ambition and reasons for the move

He's never scored enough to be a super sub.

And as for the rest of what you say.

A football club and huge wages are not a place for sentiment.

Anyway I would rather remember him for what he has done for us.

And not someone who came back struggled to get in the squad and hardly ever fit.

As already stated elsewhere, get Dave Kitson from the fire sale known as Portsmouth. Excellent target man, and gave SSL and Mills shed loads of problems at their place. Or was it SSL and Bamba? Either way, Kitson is a beast.
