Tommeh Posted 10 February 2012 Posted 10 February 2012 To be fair to the Norfolk police if being in Norwich by 11 o'clock, bumping money into their town in the form of alcohol in a few cruisers, and once in the ground standing and singing a few songs equals a high risk then they've got me well and truly sussed. Good on them...
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 10 February 2012 Author Posted 10 February 2012 If it gets moved they owe me £40
Tommeh Posted 10 February 2012 Posted 10 February 2012 Some fisherman only put that on their forum in the hope it'd be discussed on here and surprise, surprise it's worked.
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 10 February 2012 Author Posted 10 February 2012 Some fisherman only put that on their forum in the hope it'd be discussed on here and surprise, surprise it's worked. Well we've been ****ed around once, what's stopping them doing it again?
Alf Bentley Posted 10 February 2012 Posted 10 February 2012 And here's my reply from the FA following my complaint. Dear Gary Thank you for contacting The Football Association. The FA has been advised by both the Norfolk Police and the local Safety Advisory Group and it has been agreed to allow Norwich City to offer less than the required 15% away allocation. Kind regards Alex Burkwood | Customer Relations Officer Customer Relations The FA Group Wembley Stadium, Wembley, London, HA9 0WS I received exactly the same response to my query to the FA, empty word for empty word. I've sent a follow-up with some precise questions and will post here if I hear anything useful - but I'd expect to receive either no reply or similar, content-free guff to this FA response. As I said, it is not in the self-interest of any of the parties (NCFC, Norfolk Police, the FA - or even LCFC) for any true answers to be provided....let's keep trying, though!

SwindonRed Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 As a Swindon fan of many years I can only remember three sets of fans that have scared me, and I mean really scared me at home fixtures, in the late 70s maybe early 80s Leicester charged the Town End even though there wasn't that much violence the intent was there, Middlesbro took the Town End and in latter years Leeds, well they are just badly behaved generally. My point being that Leicester do have a reputation around football league clubs,in my opinion this is from many years past and no reflection on your fan base currently. Every club has nutters, we certainly do and are also classed as a 'high risk' by many clubs in the lower leagues, maybe because we take a large following for are normal levels of third and fourth tier football. Leicester have visited on a few occasions since and there has never been any problems, and we were very well treated by fans, stewards and police at our recent fixture, and an extremely pleasurable experience, apart from the result.
carlhltid Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 were high risk fans . who gives a **** . were leicester boys .and were going up
Bert Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 We'll do what we want, we'll do what we waaaaant, we are a high risk we'll do what we want.
sbfox Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 Simply because we run every town we visit. +1'd for the irony.
Phube Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 Interesting, indeed. It would also be interesting to see the minutes of this Safety Advisory Group. It has already been stated that the police and the club made submissions - so what were they? Who (if anyone) argued for a full away allocation and who argued against - and on precisely what "crowd safety" grounds. Nobody, be it NCFC, LCFC, the FA or the police, wants to give clear info about this - they all want to cover it up! My guess (and it is only a guess) is that it suited both NCFC and the police to reduce the allocation. No doubt, Norwich feel that they have a good chance of selling out to home fans as it's the 5th Round - I bet they wouldn't have been so keen to lose the cash at the turnstiles for "crowd safety" reasons if it had been a visit from Swindon or someone in the 3rd Round! Freedom of Information request?
Ashley Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 We'll do what we want, we'll do what we waaaaant, we are a high risk we'll do what we want. Same old LEICESTER taking the piss. This defiantly.
liamsm Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 High Risk? We might as well act it then? Tear Carrow Road up? Dont do that it will be doing them a favor, they will claim off their insurance and build a proper football ground, somewhere they can park their tractors
liamsm Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 I got this reply from NCFC which admonishes them of all blame and directs the blame to the police. Your email to David McNally has been passed to me as David is away currently and I am responding on his behalf. I can understand you and your sons disappointment at not being able to get tickets for the FA cup tie. However to suggest Norwich City used safety as a “smokescreen” is incorrect . The decision to limit the number of Leicester supporters to 2,400 was made by the Safety Advisory Group a statutory body chaired by Norfolk County Council under advice from the Norfolk Constabulary. Both of these bodies are government bodies and as such totally independent of Norwich City Football Club. A statement to that effect is on the Norfolk County Councils web site. I hope that my response clarifies the position. Kind regards Chris Bailey Head of Stadium Operations and Supporter Services I got the exact same reply, i bet they didn't even read our letters this was a reply that had already bean put on paper knowing they would get complaints
Basingstoke Fox Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 We're coming for you. We're coming for youuuuu We're Leicester City We're coming for you!!
wattolcfc Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 were high risk fans . who gives a **** . were leicester boys .and were going up I'd change that last line for this game to either: We're Leicester boys and we'll smash you up or We're Leicester boys and we'll win the cup

yorkie1999 Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 They're right it's cheating. It's the FA cup and this game could be decided by being first out of the draw. Really hope we beat them. Any one know where to park by the way.

Matt Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 I e-mailed Norfolk Police just to get some views and reasons mid-week, still no reply yet, despite getting an automated message saying they normally read and reply within 4 hours, can't blame them though, they must be having crisis meetings and planning the tactical stratagys how to combat our high risk fans.
