Spudulike Posted 9 February 2012 Posted 9 February 2012 Surprised the club haven't cottoned on to this. Must be an opportunity to stock the FanStore with rip-off 10 year anniversary merchandice, limited edition DVD's, mugs, scarfs and a special Fox brown city shirt. Paul Mace or Timmy wouldn't have mised out on this one. ...or perhaps it's just not worthly of a celebration ??

Mike the Metal Ed Posted 9 February 2012 Posted 9 February 2012 I'm sure it'll all happen next season. We might even get a glamour friendly against Wigan to celebrate.
Craig Posted 9 February 2012 Posted 9 February 2012 I'd rather we unveiled a special edition black home kit to mourn the 10 years away from Filbert Street/an atmosphere at home.
Ashley Posted 9 February 2012 Posted 9 February 2012 I wonder if we will play Athletico Bilbao this summer?
Walshy5 Posted 9 February 2012 Posted 9 February 2012 I'd rather we unveiled a special edition black home kit to mourn the 10 years away from Filbert Street/an atmosphere at home. Any satto's out there who can tell us how many games we've won lost and drew in these years?
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 9 February 2012 Posted 9 February 2012 Played 218 Won 93 Drawn 72 Lost 53 Goals For 313 Goals Against 213 Seems 02/03 and 08/09 did a lot for our overall record...

FuriousFox46 Posted 9 February 2012 Posted 9 February 2012 Technically it's next season. As we moved at the start of 2002/03. So they'll milk it then, I guess.
Jace Posted 9 February 2012 Posted 9 February 2012 Hopefully we will celebrate in the summer by buying a few more decent midfielders
HEGGSY Posted 9 February 2012 Posted 9 February 2012 10 years. Wow. 10 years of nothing but false hope apart from the odd glimmer in league 1 and the play offs, the prem promotion and relagation. I want Filbo back
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 9 February 2012 Posted 9 February 2012 I miss the old kop, heck, I even miss the old east stand. But most of all, I miss that wing wah chippy place over behind the basketball courts. Turned my world upside down
Corky Posted 9 February 2012 Posted 9 February 2012 I can see my old seat in that photo. Great times.
Spudulike Posted 9 February 2012 Author Posted 9 February 2012 Nearly 10 years on and it still hasn't got an identity. Can't be comfortable with a sponsors name and Filbert Way is nothing more than a council inspired attempt at clinging to our roots. Freemens Wharf is were it is. Why call it anything else ??
HEGGSY Posted 9 February 2012 Posted 9 February 2012 At this moment in time, it seems The KP will never live up to the Filbo days.
Dan Posted 9 February 2012 Posted 9 February 2012 I wonder if we will play Athletico Bilbao this summer? I will happily have that if you get a free Bilbao training jacket with your ticket. Smartest jacket ever.
One Arm Babba Posted 9 February 2012 Posted 9 February 2012 I'd rather we unveiled a special edition black home kit to mourn the 10 years away from Filbert Street/an atmosphere at home. Exactly what I was thinking. I miss Filbert Street.
Kitchandro Posted 10 February 2012 Posted 10 February 2012 Looks like a Non-League ground in this picture. No wonder we moved.
Soar Fox Posted 10 February 2012 Posted 10 February 2012 Give me Filbert Street over the Lego stadium we have now any day of the week.
Langston Posted 10 February 2012 Posted 10 February 2012 Howard against Leeds, belting Forest 3-0, Nalis' worldie, coming from behind against Spurs in that cup match, having a couple of seasons (in 02/03 and 08/09) in which we genuinely looked unstoppable. It's not all been bad.
ozleicester Posted 10 February 2012 Posted 10 February 2012 Its time we got past the Filbo days, brilliant as they were (at times), they are consigned to history and in all honesty they werent ALL great days, there is a fair proportion of "when i was a lad, everyfing was better" in all the Filbo comments. Fans make atmosphere, and stadiums, yes some encouage and enhance what the fans create. BUT.... If you are not enjoying the experience... its up to YOU to change it! Yes, losing leaves you gutted, but we havent lost until the final whistle blows, until that time, we are in with a chance and you can sit quietly in your seat and moan about how good things were and how sh*t they are now... or you can enjoy, support, stand, scream, sing. If Freemans Wharf (which really does seem the best name) is to become the home of the great memories of todays young fans... its because YOU make it so! Dont worry about what the family stand is doing. dont worry about the corporate boxes. dont worry about the kop if you're in L1, or L1 if you're in the cop. Make your own atmosphere!.......... if you dont... when you are nearly fifty years old... you wont be able to piss off all the 20 years olds, by telling how much better things were in my day!
