Kitchandro Posted 17 February 2012 Posted 17 February 2012 I don't think he'll be shipping out the numbers a lot on here seem to think. I can see him keeping Gallagher, Wellens and Dyer. Perhaps they'd be good enough for the bench but I'd be disappointed if they were all starting with the funds we've got. Deadwood like Vassell, Moussa, Oakley and Weale will probably go. I think Howard will leave too. I worry Kasper will go to a Premiership club, maybe Beckford will go, I don't think he's a favourite of Nige. Danns, Peltier and Mills will stay despite not being good enough for the first team on this season's evidence. King will stay, so will Konchesky. If Bamba goes it better be to a Premiership club or I'll be very disappointed. Touch and go with him.

I think Howard will leave too. Correct. Wellens, Gally, Dyer etc can all do a job. No point in ripping the squad to bit again. We aren't a million miles away from being good IMO, a few additions and we could challenge.

Posted 17 February 2012 Posted 17 February 2012 I think he will keep, or try to keep everyone except, Berner (unless he has already gone), Howard (even Pearson must realise), Oakley and Tunch will have to get fit between now and the end of the season and prove they are worth a place, same but to a lesser extent Vassell, Pantsil could be another one on the way out. The only one I think we would sell is Bamba, his actions since the ACON hint he is not happy at Leicester and is looking to move onwards and upwards, all I can say is I hope he can leave with his head held high.

Fox42 Posted 17 February 2012 Posted 17 February 2012 Schmeichel Peltier Konchesky St. Ledger Bamba Morgan Gallagher Marshall Drinkwater King Nugent Vassell Schlupp Waghorn Delfouneso (new contract) Mills and Beckford will as NP wants to reduce the wage bill and get rid off all the highly expensive players that are underachieving. He also wants to remove all the deadwood from the club, either that or he'll start to play Oakley, Berner and Moussa more often. I say he needs to step Hopper, Parkes, Taft, Kennedy, Moore etc. up I don't think he'll but anymore CBs. I think Pantsil is going to go, if so I would like someone like Jack Hunt (Huddersfield) to take cover for Peltier (whom can play in CB position.) NP would most likely ditch Johnson and get in another two CMs and a LM, as I think Dyer might become deadwood. We possibly need another striker as Howard needs to go and Schlupp might o out on loan to a League 1 side, and Vassell and Waghorn aren't fit (possibly not good enough as well) to start in the lineup. What does everyone think?
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 17 February 2012 Posted 17 February 2012 Ah yes exactly what we need, another pre-season of upheavel, really worked for the past 2 seasons that hasn't it? Would be interesting to find out how many players we have used since the start of last season (Paulo Sousa days) to now. Think we should pretty much keep the whole squad, bar Howard, Oakley, Berner who will probably retire and make 3 or 4 additions in key areas (Midfield) to build a consistent team capable of gaining promotion. Selling Wellens/Gally/Dyer would create more problems than it solves as we would need a 10 player turn around and come October we would be using the same bullshit excuses about needing time to gel Blah Blah Blah.
