wurmer Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 Great record of getting teams promoted - definitely taken on just to do that, hence the 2012/2013 end-date, he will be ejected if he succeeds or fails. They will do well with him - their fans just need to tolerate him for the duration.

He took umpteen attempts to get Sheffield United promoted, spending a fair amount of money in the process, before they finally went up through the playoffs and came straight back down. It's also fair to say he had an enviable chequebook at QPR before promotion and they were embarrassingly dependent on Adel Taarabt last season. He massively outspent the two sides they came up with and was sacked from Loftus Road miles behind either of them and on the verge of the drop. He encourages awful anti-football, his sides spend a considerable amount of time kidding referees and he is a serial bottler. Two and a half years in the top flight in a thirty odd year and he's been out of his depth each time. By a distance, the most overrated manager in the Football League and I wouldn't touch him with a shitty stick.
