Leicesterpool Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 You knew this coming, I think they may stick with Roberto till the end of the season.
Jimothy Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 Already announced Di Matteo is in charge until the end of the season. No idea who they'll go for, I'm just curious who'd want the job now.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 Stick with Roberto Di Matteo until the end of the season and then Pep Guardiola to become manager then, his contract is up at the end of the season with Barca. Or Benitez to become manager in the next coming days
Matt Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 The Premier League needs Jose back, I just hope it's not with Chelsea - They don't deserve him. I read they were after Pep Guardiola - Can't see him leaving Barcelona. I also read they were after Rafa Benitez - If thats the best they can muster, I'd have stuck with AVB until someone better emerged. Should never have got rid of Jose, end of.
Tielemans63 Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 Should never have got rid of Jose, end of. Too right. Abramovich is reaping the rewards of a truly stupid decision taken a few years back. To let him go because he wanted total control over signings was ridiculous. RA's marquee signings are almost inevitably shite (Sheva / Torres) etc. I think Guardiola is possible. There's a few people in Spain suggesting he thinks he has done everything he possibly can with Barca and might look for a new challenge.
bmt Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 José or Pep. José apparently wants to return to England and I'm unsure whether Spurs are a big enough club. Pep wants to prove he's a good manager outside of Barca where he has the best team in the world.
speedwayson Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 they where not the same side since butch wilkins left i can see him come back manger proberly not
marko Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 Stick Lampard in as boss... the bloke seems to think he's in charge.
skinnydipper Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 Sven, then they could take Michael Johnson on loan.
Libertine Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 Sven, then they could take Michael Johnson on loan. Fat Frank and Piechael Johnson in the middle, imagine that.
Jackirius Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 WHat's the point in sacking AVB and then just sticking with DI Matteo, I cant see him working any miracles, whereas they could have stuck with AVB a bit longer and seen how it turned out.
foxes2011 Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 for me benitez he has a spanish style and would change chelsea around, he has won a european cup, an association to torres and ,meireles as well i think he would suit chelseas team and he is out of workso available quickly. He might get the best out of some of the players but benitez cant win the pl hes more of a european manager.
AyewJoking Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 You can name all the managers in the world but until Roman learns there are no quick fixes then Chelsea are doomed to years of disappointment.
Corky Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 There'll be the usual clamour for a British manager from the press. David Moyes to be number one target.

He might get the best out of some of the players but benitez cant win the pl hes more of a european manager. If Abramovich wanted Benitez he could get him now. It's difficult to see the egos at the club (Terry, Cole, Lampard, Drogba, Cech) accepting anyone other than Mourinho. But even if they're in the Champions League next season (which is by no means a certainty) will he be patient enough to rebuild a side in obvious decline? I'm not convinced.
foxfanazer Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 Mourinho or pep must be the only options! Moyes has done a great job at everyone but think the step up is too big. Surely they won't go for Cappello!
jonlcfc1990 Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 I wouldn't be surprised if it was Capello. At the end of the day there worse than us when it comes to managerial changes and that takes some beating!
vandamman Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 Was just looking at the Capello's wiki page and noticed this remark at the end of his profile next to his England resignation ' Fabio Capello is not the first italian to abandon a sinking ship.'
