Raw Dykes Posted 23 March 2012 Posted 23 March 2012 If we lose tomorrow can we mathematically be out of the playoff race? If so kinda hope we do lose just so we can finally give it up, because if we win everyone will be saying we can still do it, only to lose (or draw) to Forest. I think I remember saying similar things last year, we kept hanging on and hanging on with a slim but unlikely chance of making the playoffs, I was sick of it in the end, i'd rather be totally out of it so I can see threads every other week saying we can still do it. Obviously I do want us to make the playoffs - and it can still be acheived, but we've only won 2 in a row all season, and to make the playoffs we've pretty much gotta win almost every game left, certainly go unbeaten for the rest of the season and even the most optimistic fans can't seriously think we have a very good chance of that now, if they do they are deluded, hopefully i'll be back here in a few games/end of the season quoting myself and feeling embaressed, quite confident I won't though. Sadly, it's likely that it won't be mathematically impossible for us to reach the playoffs until we only have about 3 or 4 games left. We'll most probably have to deal with the faint hope that we can still achieve promotion and the "It's still not over yet" comments for a few more weeks yet. I'm trying hard not to think about the playoffs unless we win the next 3 or 4 matches.

upthecity1 Posted 23 March 2012 Posted 23 March 2012 cross bar challenge to tomorrows game at half time lcfc v hull u heard it hear first!
StanSP Posted 23 March 2012 Author Posted 23 March 2012 cross bar challenge to tomorrows game at half time lcfc v hull u heard it hear first! That makes very little sense. There's a crossbar challenge during half-time in tomorrow's match? Between who?
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 23 March 2012 Posted 23 March 2012 i had a dream once that we won a few games on the trot, but it was just a dream and a very long time ago

Ozwin Posted 23 March 2012 Posted 23 March 2012 HUll are one of my most hated teams ever since the NP thing! They are so arrogant it is unbelievable Posts like this will make us look so tragic, this is Hull City we're talking about, I have no feelings towards them whatsoever, they are just euugh.
purpleronnie Posted 23 March 2012 Posted 23 March 2012 I hope the hull fans don't do their intimidating 'mauled by the tigers' song.
Kitchandro Posted 23 March 2012 Posted 23 March 2012 Well I've got Nigel's pre-match speech sorted for him: “We may not be winners, but we can be spoilers. History is filled with losers who never won anything themselves, but who ruin the success of others. Ralph Nader, Judas, that kid who pulled scissors on me at the Rock-Paper-Scissors tournament last year. Stabbed me bad in the parking lot. Ruined my concentration for the whole tourney. Anyway, if we beat Barmby’s team, it won’t save our season, but it will spoil theirs! Now, what do you say? Let’s go out there and spoil!” He won't need any extra motivation but the players might.

U a bit pissed tonight mate?
Kitchandro Posted 23 March 2012 Posted 23 March 2012 U a bit pissed tonight mate? Not enough Col! Only had a couple of cheeky ones but clearly that's enough to turn me into an inspirational leader (though still realistic enough to know we're going to finish midtable)

Lagerz. Seen Muzzy in there quite a few Sat nights. Enjoy

ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 23 March 2012 Posted 23 March 2012 surprise team tomorrow me thinks, possibly 4-3-3 or 4-1-2-3 with the midfield doubts
Guest Col city fan Posted 23 March 2012 Posted 23 March 2012 I think the rest of the season should be interesting, in terms of how we do. If, as many people, have suggested, we have not done well due to pressure, well the pressure is now effectively off, or as near as damn it. If, as many people have also suggested, we have a 'quality' squad, then quality + no pressure should equal some good wins. We'll see.
EnderbyFox Posted 23 March 2012 Posted 23 March 2012 I hope the hull fans don't do their intimidating 'mauled by the tigers' song. That's by far the most pathetic and camp chant i've ever heard. Infact, if given the choice to unhear this monstrosity but lose both of my ears in the process, i'd gladly accept
Saxondale Posted 23 March 2012 Posted 23 March 2012 I think Wellens is 99% ruled out. Any idea on Danns or Drinkwater?
Happy Fox Posted 23 March 2012 Posted 23 March 2012 I don't think I can muster up the enthusiasm or the will to go to the game tomorrow, the team don't frankly give a shit anymore so why should I? I love City till my heart content and it is heartbreaking seeing us where we are in the table, but I will be their on Tuesday, because if we don't beat the red shite then it will be truly unthinkable, come on City do it for us the fans who have been through crap this season. WYS
TheUltimateWinner Posted 23 March 2012 Posted 23 March 2012 King's back in training right? Why not give him a call up! I'd go Peltier (Defensive Mid & Pantsil playing RB) Marhsall (RM) Dyer (LM) Gallagher/Nugent (Attacking Mid)
