Some might argue that's our best team anyway?

Certainly think on paper that is our strongest team, however we know full well that it's just not that simple. Hope we smash these lot, my uncle works for Allam and gives me no end of stick.

Hahaha.

Do you remember when we had about 300 midfielders? Down to 3 now.

Looks a good team though, two proper wingers, two proper strikers, two good central midfielders. Let's ave a win in the sun.

That's the team i have been hoping we'll pick for weeks. Just watch us lose now!!!

Know what you mean, I guess it depends how we actually set up and try to play.

If we continue to play in the sloppy, wide open manner that we have of late then I can not see us getting a win........ :(

Loving the look of the midfield today the 4 I have wanted to start for a while now. Mills is doomed wherever he is good enough to start or not he is definitely good enough for the bench so Pearson must really want him out

Took months and no takers to fix the Tevez burnt bridges. Might be the same here!!!

That's how I see it.

Also if NP doesn't start him, some people complain that he could make a difference. If NP does start him, people will complain it smacks of desperation.

Solid looking team. Interesting that out of 3 fitness tests we make 2, Mercury seemed to be suggesting all three were unlikely to play. Must say am slightly disappointed that we don't get to see Bamba start in midfield, I may be in the minority there.

Danns/Drinkwater combination should be interesting, they have a nice balance, Danns provides energy and forward drive, Drinkwater a steady presence to recycle possession and look for more expansive passes, one of them needs to decide who will stay deep, Wellens and Danns never seemed to work that out and often both of them were too high up the picth.

By the way...anyone know if John Pantsil is dead or alive?

Good question all I keep hearing this week is we need to replace or have back up to Peltier?

The team that everyone's been crying for....

Wonder if Drinkwater is like Wellens in that his better work is in opposition half, if so I worry our defence will continue to be exposed. Marshall has got to be disciplined in closing their widemen down & pressuring him to play an early ball.

Attacking should be fine though.

All depends which side of ours turns up, the one which plays with intensity or the one who doesn't.

Bit harsh to say this but I hope King and Wellens injured can be abit of a blessing in disguise as allows us to mix it up a bit, Wellens has really pulled his weight recently but I'd like to see what Danns and Drinkwater can do today and Marshall too instead of Gally. People rate Gally for being a great technical player but so is Marshall and he's young and got pace. Gallys corners have been awful and every time Konchesky had to take 1 against Chelsea we really left ourselves exposed at the back

Agreed. I would have gone with that even if Wellens was fit.

Will be good to see how this team performs today looks like a solid mid and our strikers are on song so im going for 3-1 City.
