Dan Posted 30 March 2012 Posted 30 March 2012 EASY WIN, I looked at Peterboroughs current form and it's been dreadful. Did you starting supporting us yesterday or the day before? I'll just assume you're on a wind-up. Anyone who thinks a game like this is easy has not got a fvcking clue about football.
Raw Dykes Posted 30 March 2012 Posted 30 March 2012 I half agree but right now Peterborough are playing their worst football of the season, their defence is leaking so many goals, bordering on a crisis. I would be very suprised if we didn't just destory them on Saturday. Check the Posh forums, they expect to lose to us. Bristol City got one point from 7 matches just before we played them. I hope we win, but I won't be in the least bit surprised if we lose.
Dan Posted 30 March 2012 Posted 30 March 2012 It's a shame to think if we lose, everyone will be acting so surprised/shocked. We can't hack it away at out of form sides, haven't been able to for years and this year we're as bad for it as we've ever been.
MC Prussian Posted 30 March 2012 Posted 30 March 2012 Peterborough is not an easy place to go to. They hammered Ipswich early on in the season, won 4-3 against Cardiff in October (after being 3-2 down) and got all three points against Blackpool and Reading (with a score of 3-1 each). They tend to play a 3-5-2 and usually score quite a lot of goals at home, the weak point though is the defense who is letting in goals for fun, too. If anything goes according to plan, a 3-2 to Leicester. But it won't be easy.
davieG Posted 30 March 2012 Posted 30 March 2012 Merc King will be included in the squad to face Posh at London Road, along with Richie Wellens. who Pearson has described as having an outside chance to make his return after a groin injury. Darius Vassell, who also made his comeback after a lengthy knee injury at Kettering, will not be risked. Other selection issues for Pearson could depend on illness. At present, there is a sickness bug going around at City, which has affected several members of the squad, including Wes Morgan, Paul Konchesky and Matt Mills, but all are expected to be well enough to play, if selected.

cambridgefox Posted 30 March 2012 Posted 30 March 2012 matt mills..nice try pearson Think Pearson meant there is a bug going around city, including Wes Morgan and Paul Konchesky and Matt Mills just bugs him so he wont be included!

Oasisedup Posted 30 March 2012 Posted 30 March 2012 People talking about how the fact that the teams near us are playing at home tomorrow makes it a must win game are wrong. It isn't a must win game, and it were a must-win game, it wouldn't be because the likes of Cardiff etc are playing home. Realistically, looking at previous years, 75 points is easily enough to make the play-offs. Typically, it's around 72. It's likely that this year it will be a bit less than that. On that basis we need around 18 points from our remaining 7 games to pretty much guarantee the play-offs. So, we can lose tomorrow...provided we win all the rest.
Foxhateram Posted 30 March 2012 Posted 30 March 2012 But realistically we haVe to play like every game is our cup final, they are all must win if we want to make it. No more slip UPS let's show this league how its done! I think we will make it, a win Saturday and teams around us playing eacother could lead us to being a point away. Come on you foxes.
cc_star Posted 30 March 2012 Posted 30 March 2012 Can see goals in this one, Peterborough score & concede for fun. Predicting a 3-2 win for either side, wouldn't surprise me if Posh won... we just do crap against sides in bottom half
burni Posted 30 March 2012 Posted 30 March 2012 could do with a win! Kasper Peltier Morgan Ledger Konchesky Marshall Drinkwater Wellens(King/bamba/wellens depending on availability) Dyer Shlupp Howard Subs: Bamba, King, Kennerdy, Beckford, Nugent Changed the strikers as i think Nugent and beck need a rest. Change it early on if shlupp an howard doesnt work
Corky Posted 30 March 2012 Posted 30 March 2012 Peterborough have scored 59, three more than us. Hardly "scoring for fun" compared to us.
CasperBlue Posted 30 March 2012 Posted 30 March 2012 It seems to me that FuriousFox hasn't managed to free himself of his debilitating contempt of all things Posh, to the point that he has become obsessed with making up stories to justify his psychological problem.
CasperBlue Posted 30 March 2012 Posted 30 March 2012 Last three home games for Posh.. Posh 3 - 1 Blackpool Posh 3 - 1 Reading Posh 0 - 2 West Ham They can be rather dangerous on there own patch, not a nailed on win for the Foxes it seems.
squidsworth Posted 30 March 2012 Posted 30 March 2012 If I'm right then our last 10 games have given us 17 points, which is easily play off form if maintained throughout the season, trouble is we havent but at least we're on the right track now! Our last 4 have have given us 8 points. If we can get 2pts a game from now on in it will be close, but probably not quite good enough. Therefore we need a couple of wins on the bounce, Posh away and Donny at home is that chance, win both and I'll believe, win-draw and we'll just have to hope something special happens in the remaining games. Any other combo, and its probably goodnight playoffs. I respect both teams, but with the players we have we should be beating both of them. I think we'll win tomorrow, a tighter game then many expect, though 2-0 to LCFC is my prediction. Donny are in freefall since losing sharp (havent won since begining of Jan), so anything other than victory against them will be a real shock, even for us!
cc_star Posted 30 March 2012 Posted 30 March 2012 Peterborough have scored 59, three more than us. Hardly "scoring for fun" compared to us. At home they've scored well over double the amount of Donny, double the amount of Forest & Bristol City, loads & loads more than Millwall, Cov etc... and six more goals than we have at home too I'd say that's pretty much scoring for fun for where they are They've averaged 1.95 goals per game at home, including 6 against Reading & Blackpool, we've averaged 1.3gpg away from home Dangerous game for us, especially as many fans we'll probably walk it which I think is what rubs off on some of the players against these lower teams & they forget to bring their A game
JonnyBoy Posted 30 March 2012 Posted 30 March 2012 just wondering, as we have unreserved standing..... i'm guessing the earlier people get into the terrace the better option of where they stand? and then people who arrive 2 minutes before k.o will be at the front? sounds a bit obvious and daft but just wanted to clear the air
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 30 March 2012 Posted 30 March 2012 I hope we play a 4-4-2 tomorrow, I think Nugent is wasted on the wing
acooling08 Posted 30 March 2012 Posted 30 March 2012 Kasper Konch SSL Morgan Peltier Marshall Drinkwater Wellens Dyer Nugent Beckford
Simmo86 Posted 30 March 2012 Posted 30 March 2012 Kasper Pelts SSL Morgan Konch Bamba Drinkwater Dyer Marshall Nugent Beckford Posh are pretty much all out attack at home, giving the front 4 licence to run wild. If we're defensively sound, don't see any reason why we shouldn't win this!
