morris1234 Posted 17 May 2012 Posted 17 May 2012 Surprised he's not already being linked with the Liverpool job after their season!
Kitchandro Posted 17 May 2012 Posted 17 May 2012 He won't join us if he has a chance to go to the MLS, but I still think he'd do a decent job at this level if he was fit.
Filbert_Ross Posted 17 May 2012 Posted 17 May 2012 would not be a waste of money because we would get him on a free. yeah cus we'd pay him peanuts (peanuts still cost money)
leicesterlad1989 Posted 17 May 2012 Posted 17 May 2012 Oh god 730247 million Owen threads created so far today. The guys a joke. Used to love him but him but hes past it and he will go America to play (retire) like all players do.
Happy Fox Posted 17 May 2012 Posted 17 May 2012 Why the bookies have him to come here is beyond stupidity they do realize that Sven isn't here any more... Sky Bet @ SkyBet Where next for Michael Owen? Brighton 4/1 fav, Leicester 8/1, Southampton 8/1, Everton 10/1, Villa 12/1, QPR 12/1http://ow.ly/aY7Br Expand Reply Retweet Favorite 1h
Petchy Posted 17 May 2012 Posted 17 May 2012 Should have it's own topic, not merged into the Wishlist. Been linked with him through the bookies and twitter, so if the likes of Gerrard etc can have their own topic then it's laughable Owen can't. The chat about him will only spam this topic now. Lets face it, he isn't on any of our wishlists!
Big Dave Posted 17 May 2012 Posted 17 May 2012 Do people not understand that if there is no concrete source it should go in the wish list thread? How many posts on here have a good source?
Guest MattP Posted 17 May 2012 Posted 17 May 2012 lol So a couple of weeks after we all agree to go the "young and hungry, buildling a team" route we get back into the "Sven in a sweet shop" transfer market atitude of paying people tens of thousands of pounds a week to play for a team they don't give a shit about.
wurmer Posted 17 May 2012 Posted 17 May 2012 I'd take him, think he'd do well at this level You are right, he would keep the bench nice and warm for us all season whilst out injured, again.
Leicester Bean Posted 17 May 2012 Posted 17 May 2012 Craig Gordan from Sunderland, just been released apparently!
leicesterisme Posted 17 May 2012 Posted 17 May 2012 Craig Gordan from Sunderland, just been released apparently! Constantly injured.
General Smuts Posted 17 May 2012 Posted 17 May 2012 Constantly injured. But once worth £9m - to sit on the bench behind Kasper i'd take him in a heartbeat.
Lambert09 Posted 17 May 2012 Posted 17 May 2012 Stan Collymore @StanCollymore Michael Owen "The Championship will not be an option" case closed
Happy Fox Posted 17 May 2012 Posted 17 May 2012 Stan Collymore @StanCollymore Michael Owen "The Championship will not be an option" case closed He will be lucky to get a prem club his best bet is the championship or retirement in the MLS.
General Smuts Posted 17 May 2012 Posted 17 May 2012 Michael Owen is a fecking idiot if he goes abroad instead of the Championship.

How difficult is it to understand NO PLAYER GIVES A SHIT ABOUT THE CLUB THEY PLAY FOR, THEY ARE ALL IN IT FOR THE MONEY!
leicesterlad1989 Posted 17 May 2012 Posted 17 May 2012 1325: FOOTBALL Michael Owen says he will continue in football despite not being offered a new contract with Manchester United, but insists it will not be in England's second tier. "The Championship is not an option. I'd like to think I haven't lost the ability to score goals and play at the highest level," he told Sky Sports News. "If I'm not going to play in the Premier League I may look further afield. "I still feel good and even though I've had a few injuries, I don't wake up with sore joints."
FrankieADZ Posted 17 May 2012 Posted 17 May 2012 Aaron Wilbraham could be a decent signing i guess...just been released by Norwich.
Grewks Posted 17 May 2012 Posted 17 May 2012 Aaron Wilbraham could be a decent signing i guess...just been released by Norwich. no....pisspoor.

FrankieADZ Posted 17 May 2012 Posted 17 May 2012 no....pisspoor. rather have him compared to Owen. hey ho.
Grewks Posted 17 May 2012 Posted 17 May 2012 rather have him compared to Owen. hey ho. I wouldnt go near any of them. What about Daniel Powell? Johnny russell?, could get them both for £1 million combined IMO.
jock2612 Posted 17 May 2012 Posted 17 May 2012 How about Shorey WBA have released him,not sure of his age tho?
Grewks Posted 17 May 2012 Posted 17 May 2012 How about Shorey WBA have released him,not sure of his age tho? Kennedy as backup is adequate enough in this league.
Happy Fox Posted 17 May 2012 Posted 17 May 2012 Danny Guthrie is available, is that defensive midfielder we need.
