Will that make you feel better? He's been terrible value for money, simple as that. But shown flashes in a couple of games that he could be more than what he produced this year. To do so, we and but mostly he would need to be dramatically better than last year. My main argument on here is against people who make out like he's our best striker or that it's nailed on he's going to bang in loads of goals. Because a) he's nowhere near Nugent and b) he's never proved himself capable of more than 9 league goals above league one. Only an idiot would ever write someone off completely, because you never know what will happen. So you are apparently implying you are not an idiot!

No one has said Beckford can't do better, but your assertion that he was shit last season is bollocks. He was average but has the potential to do really well. That's the majority view. You and a couple of others bang on about him like obsessed school kids. Why not realize that you've made your point and move on. If you're right the season will prove it. It is nice to know ASAP when there is movement in the transfer market esp this time of year and its nice to have information that is honest and as reliable as possible ( I accept some info is not always correct) but before this I believed the info they gave was in good faith.I hope they both had a good laugh ! But as they say little things........

That he had shit season last year (9 league goals), that he's been poor value (£2.5m and rumours of 30k), that he's never done it higher than league one (never scored more than 9 league goals in a season above league one). So, please let me know what I am wrong on? On the flip side, you have blind faith in him believing that he's brillaint beyond all question. When the records state otherwise. As someone that gets a little irate at people basing arguments on rumours / hearsay / guesses, is this not a little hypocritical??? Isn't it getting a bit boring stating the LEAGUE goals and not including cup, which simply doesn't support your argument very well, to justify your criticism of Beckford?? If anyone has anything negative to say about Pearson then unless it's substantiated with a signed statement from 3 independent witnesses then it's just not valid - but you use completely different rules in your own criticism of JB??
