Happy Fox Posted 21 August 2012 Posted 21 August 2012 Quite a coup for your lot, good news he cannot play tonight.
Jimothy Posted 21 August 2012 Posted 21 August 2012 How happy does Sebastian Bassing look to be joining Norwich! http://www.canaries.co.uk/news/article/bassong-signs-325464.aspx?CMP=EMCFTBEML853
Fox92 Posted 21 August 2012 Posted 21 August 2012 Adebayor signs for Spurs. Reported fee is £6million, and if true, a good deal imo. How happy does Sebastian Bassing look to be joining Norwich! http://www.canaries....MP=EMCFTBEML853
21st Century Fox Posted 21 August 2012 Posted 21 August 2012 Man City will still be subsidising Adebayor's wages!!! Insane!!
Teapot. Posted 22 August 2012 Posted 22 August 2012 Real Madrid have agreed a deal with QPR to send Ricardo Carvalho back to London on a years loan. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11661/8009099/
Fox92 Posted 22 August 2012 Posted 22 August 2012 Carvalho is one of my favourite defenders. Top player.
Corky Posted 22 August 2012 Posted 22 August 2012 Dawson and Carvalho probably joining. Saturday's result might've been a good thing in the long run.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 22 August 2012 Posted 22 August 2012 Seen an awful lot of people slagging Song off... he's a cracking player, well underrated. Some of his assists last season were crazy, he's similar to Mascherano in a defensive capability but can pick a pass too. His passing is awful according to most fans and his attitude stinks. Couple of chipped through balls to RVP doesn't make him the Cameroonian Iniesta.
21st Century Fox Posted 22 August 2012 Posted 22 August 2012 His passing is awful according to most fans and his attitude stinks. Couple of chipped through balls to RVP doesn't make him the Cameroonian Iniesta. Precisely this. I think it was on the Guardian Football Weekly this week they mentioned that now RVP's gone Song's "useful" was now superfluous.
Fox92 Posted 23 August 2012 Posted 23 August 2012 Don't know how true it is, obviously, put in the paper I read that Chelsea rejected a £30million bid from Manchester City for David Luiz!?
Happy Fox Posted 23 August 2012 Posted 23 August 2012 QPR are going mental in this transfer market all to secure 17th place holding talks with Julio Cesar.
sdb Posted 23 August 2012 Posted 23 August 2012 Don't know how true it is, obviously, put in the paper I read that Chelsea rejected a £30million bid from Manchester City for David Luiz!? If I was Di Matteo I'd explode with excitement if that happened. Place Luiz on the transfer list and fine him a week's wages CM style! QPR are going mental in this transfer market all to secure 17th place holding talks with Julio Cesar. Rob Green will be loving that!
Tielemans63 Posted 24 August 2012 Posted 24 August 2012 http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11706/8015160/Eagles-complete-triple-swoop Palace have signed Yannick Bolassie from Briz, Darcy Blake from Cardiff and some Brazilian geezer. Have to say I think Blake is a great signing, very tidy player. I'm surprised Cardiff have let him go.
Jaspa Posted 24 August 2012 Posted 24 August 2012 Chelsea have filled the hole left by Bosingwa's mighty brow http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19366944 Spaniard Cesar Azpilicueta for an initial fee of £6.5m
Fox92 Posted 24 August 2012 Posted 24 August 2012 Fletcher finally signs for Sunderland. Reported fee of £15million! Matt Jarvis also leaves Wolves, for West Ham. Reported fee of £10.75million!
leicesterisme Posted 24 August 2012 Posted 24 August 2012 Cracking bit of business by Wolves to be fair!
Fox92 Posted 24 August 2012 Posted 24 August 2012 Good signing for Sunderland in my opinion. He supports them as well.

English football is nuts. Neither of these players are worth more than £5m-£6m IMHO. * Think Fletcher went for £12m in the end.
Soar Fox Posted 25 August 2012 Posted 25 August 2012 English football is nuts. Neither of these players are worth more than £5m-£6m IMHO. * Think Fletcher went for £12m in the end. Fletcher £12 million Adebayor £5 million I know Adebayors wages will be ridiculously higher but still. Also Adam Johnson was a million pound cheaper than Matt Jarvis. Personally I think Sunderland have got a better deal than West Ham.

I agree - it looks like Sunderland have got a better deal than West Ham. As you pointed out with Adebayor, though, the wages might be massively different. There are other factors, as well, like age, time left on contract, signing on fees, etc.
21st Century Fox Posted 25 August 2012 Posted 25 August 2012 And the fact Man City were absolutely desperate to get rid of Adebayor, so much so that they're supplementing the shortfall in his wages!!
