You're going to sign too many players.

Also, just read Wolves have rejected a bid from West Ham for Matt Jarvis. £9.5million

Southampton with a £6m bid for Matt Phillips.

Decent player but silly money for a player who played a handful of games in the Prem a few seasons ago and started last season out on loan. Scored 7 in 34 according to Wikipedia last season so decent for a Champo winger - Marshall got 3 in 16 (so similar ratio...) Would he be worth the same?

Always thought he looked like Blackpool's best player when he came on in the Prem (didn't see much of him last season...) but £6m...?!

SSN reporting Saha to Sunderland, and Charlie Adam to Everton.

Would think that Adam to Fulham in a deal for Dempsey could be the better option, though Adam would fit the bill nicely at Everton.

Cox, Guedioura and Hutchinson are all good additions to a squad that isn't particularly bad in the first place

They aren't bad signings but realistically for them midtable would be about right.

How many defenders do they want?

They only had 1 or 2 senior defenders when they started buying players. They sold all their other defenders or their contracts ran out

Why would it? We've seen before that 'average' players can build a unit (such as Blackpool). You don't exactly need a team of superstars to win promotion from the divison.

To be honest, when was the last time a team got promoted from the Championship WITH superstars? Maybe you could count Newcastle? Other than that, I honestly can't think of a side that has done it that way...
