EcclesallOwl Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 We're signing Rodri from Barca B on loan with an option to buy according to a Barca journo Jose Baxter and Danny Mayor signing as well apparently
Fox92 Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 You're going to sign too many players. Also, just read Wolves have rejected a bid from West Ham for Matt Jarvis. £9.5million
EcclesallOwl Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 You're going to sign too many players. Also, just read Wolves have rejected a bid from West Ham for Matt Jarvis. £9.5million No we need these players!
Happy Fox Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 Southampton with a £6m bid for Matt Phillips. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/7995897/?
eye666 Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 Southampton with a £6m bid for Matt Phillips. http://www1.skysport...11095/7995897/? Decent player but silly money for a player who played a handful of games in the Prem a few seasons ago and started last season out on loan. Scored 7 in 34 according to Wikipedia last season so decent for a Champo winger - Marshall got 3 in 16 (so similar ratio...) Would he be worth the same? Always thought he looked like Blackpool's best player when he came on in the Prem (didn't see much of him last season...) but £6m...?!
marko Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 Not transfer news, but related to the RVP move. Quite a good spoof article. Made me laugh, anyway. http://newsthump.com...als-van-persie/
Darkon84 Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 SSN reporting Saha to Sunderland, and Charlie Adam to Everton. Would think that Adam to Fulham in a deal for Dempsey could be the better option, though Adam would fit the bill nicely at Everton. You're going to sign too many players. Also, just read Wolves have rejected a bid from West Ham for Matt Jarvis. £9.5million Thats just plain sick.
EnderbyFox Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 @FourthOfficial_ Chelsea defender Sam Hutchinson has signed for Nottingham Forest on loan #NFFC Another decent signing for Forest, they'll be a force this year.
Corky Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 @FourthOfficial_ Chelsea defender Sam Hutchinson has signed for Nottingham Forest on loan #NFFC Another decent signing for Forest, they'll be a force this year. How many defenders do they want?
EnderbyFox Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 F****t a force Cox, Guedioura and Hutchinson are all good additions to a squad that isn't particularly bad in the first place
Happy Fox Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 Cox, Guedioura and Hutchinson are all good additions to a squad that isn't particularly bad in the first place They aren't bad signings but realistically for them midtable would be about right.
Simo86 Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 How many defenders do they want? They only had 1 or 2 senior defenders when they started buying players. They sold all their other defenders or their contracts ran out
Fox92 Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 They aren't bad signings but realistically for them midtable would be about right. Why would it? We've seen before that 'average' players can build a unit (such as Blackpool). You don't exactly need a team of superstars to win promotion from the divison.

You don't exactly need a team of superstars to win promotion from the divison. To be honest, when was the last time a team got promoted from the Championship WITH superstars? Maybe you could count Newcastle? Other than that, I honestly can't think of a side that has done it that way...

Corky Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 Barton to Marseille! Good, hope he stays there for good.
BHAFC Braders Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 Portsmouth sign Kieran Djilali - 21-year-old winger, most recently at AFC Wimbledon Mustapha Dumbuya - 25-year-old right-back, left Doncaster in summer Jon Harley - 32-year-old former Chelsea left-back, left Notts County in summer Brian Howard - 29-year-old midfielder most recently at Reading. Will be Pompey captain Izale McLeod - 27-year-old striker who left Barnet this summer Lee Williamson - 30-year-old midfielder, formerly of Sheffield United Simon Eastwood - 23-year-old goalkeeper who played in the Plymouth defeat Jack Compton - 23-year-old midfielder who left Falkirk in the summer Luke Rodgers - 30-year-old former Lillestrom striker Liam Walker - 24-year-old midfielder who played for Spanish side San Roque last season
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 Izale McLeod is only 27?! Been around for years, not much cop. Brian Howard is surely still cpaable enough of doing a decent job in League One, though.
21st Century Fox Posted 17 August 2012 Posted 17 August 2012 Barton to Marseille! So we can expect some Descartes, Satre, Comte related tweets soon.
Jaspa Posted 17 August 2012 Posted 17 August 2012 On the RvP to ManU deal, http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/football/908829-robin-van-persie-revives-memories-of-fab-four-for-man-utd-boss-ferguson ‘In 1999 I had Yorke, Cole, Sheringham and Solskjaer, the four best strikers in Europe,’ said manager Ferguson. Ronaldo ? Shevchenko ? Batistuta ? Crespo ? Vieri ? Veron ? RvP should be ashamed if he loves Arsenal that much
Fox92 Posted 17 August 2012 Posted 17 August 2012 Jose Bosingwa signs for QPR, having been released by rivals Chelsea.
