Each team has to racially insult any black players on either team, after the match the team with the least uppity blacks who shake hands wins.

Club with womens' branch with the tightest shirts and shortest shorts automatically wins.

Team with gay fans who attend the match and behave in a camp manner are automatically disqualified.

The alternative is for Blatter to come on to the pitch after 120 minutes, each team gets 30 seconds to beat the crap out of him, a panel consisting of Mr. T, Joey Barton and Danny Dyer then decide which team beat the crap out of him the most and that team wins.

May I also add that this complete and utter bellend has said that Kosovo, will be allowed to play friendlies against FIFA's member countries, funny thing is Kosovo isn't a country nor a member, what a ****. If thats the case, Republika Srpska should have a team; Kuzmanovic, Marin and Subotic all able to play for them

Team that signs over their TV rights to Sepp Blatter's nephew the quickest after 120 minutes wins.

Team that can make questionable comments about black people and then produce the most photographs of themselves with black people after 120 minutes win.

No picture with Frank and Emile though.

HAHA!

Franz Beckenbauer has said that matches that finish in a draw should continue to be decided with penalty-kick shootouts.

Beckenbauer, the former World Cup-winner, West Germany and Bayern Munich captain and now head of a Fifa task force to improve football for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, said the shootouts "bring emotions into play and are a lot more attractive than the toss of a coin, for example".

Beckenbauer's comments, reported in the German newspaper Bild, came a day after the Fifa president, Sepp Blatter, said Beckenbauer's panel of experts should find an alternative to shootouts.

Blatter told the Fifa congress on Friday that football "loses its essence" when matches are settled by penalty kicks. He later clarified his view on Twitter, writing that he did not want to scrap shootouts, but believed that matches should be decided "11 v 11".

I think after 120 mins, they should send them off into the woods Hunger games style. Whichever team has a player surviving at the end wins.

Its a win win surely as FIFA would save money on the cost of the medals too....

http://whatculture.com/sport/sepp-blatter-looks-for-penalty-alternative.php

any ideas people, or are people happy with penalty kickss??

views welcome.

my ideas.

1. Away goal rule becomes compulsary in all forms of the games, including Fa Cup, Carling Cup etc.

if this fails to produce a winner id do something where you have to reduce the number of players in your side every 5 minuites in extra time with golden goal rule.

for example after 90 minuites you start extra time and have to remove one player from you side every five minuites till one team scores extra time carrys on till a team scores.

2. Could do sudden death ten minuites after extra time where no team can play with a Goalkeeper which makes it easier to score.

any other ideas?

A bowl out.

Get a set of stumps, plant them on the centre spot and let players bowl at them. Team that hits most wins.

haha i was looking for serious sugestions but tbh i like penaltys just thought id bring it up because of the idiot Blatter making it a prioroty. Penaltys are exciting and they should be kept i think.

I think penalties are the fairest and most entertaining way of deciding a winner but for alternative i'll say ..... A ice hockey style shootout where the player as to run from the half way line with the ball and score.

Penalties, in the main, are fine. Team have 120 minutes to score more than the opposition, if neither side can do it you go to the fairest way which is penalties.

I don't understand why people want an alternative anyway. Ok, a penalty shootout might be painful to watch (if your side is involved), but they are exciting. I don't really see an alternative to a penalty shootout, apart from the golden goal, which has already been tried and scrapped.

Your idea of away goals in domestic cup ties is a good suggestion, however, I personally have no problem with penalty shootout's and I think it should be left as it is.

I dont mind pens.

But, for the sake of getting involved....

...maybe after 90mins all substitutions are reset & become unlimited. 15mins of extra-time. If there isnt a winner, 15mins of extra-time again. And so on & so forth until there is a winner. Would maybe need a bigger bench but it would keep the game quality at a reasonable level.

I dunno...

They should keep penalties.

I heard a suggestion somewhere (can't remember where) that they should do it like they did in the HK Soccer Sevens. i.e. Golden Goal period, but every (x) minutes each team loses a player. Wouldn't be too bad, but I still prefer penalties.
