SystonFox Posted 1 June 2012 Posted 1 June 2012 You were probably the year below me at Longslade, I lived on Hallfields Lane until I went to uni. Not local anymore, I live off Narborough Road these days. Longslade was a right dive back in my day. ****ing hated the place. my house backs onto hallfields lane, the yellow house is directly behind mine.
Finnegan Posted 1 June 2012 Posted 1 June 2012 Longslade was a right dive back in my day. ****ing hated the place. my house backs onto hallfields lane, the yellow house is directly behind mine. My old house is well easy to spot, it's one of the last terraces opposite the fields. It's recognizable by the hideous brickwork star on the front on the rendering. And yeah Longslade was pretty shit, it went in to special measures whilst I was there. Did you stay for sixth form?
Bellend Sebastian Posted 1 June 2012 Posted 1 June 2012 It was brilliant when I was there. I got bored of all the regattas and croquet in the end though
The Year Of The Fox Posted 1 June 2012 Posted 1 June 2012 So long as you don't ride two or three abreast, jump on to pavements to suit yourselves or jump red lights then you're more than welcome to use our roads
Christoph Posted 1 June 2012 Posted 1 June 2012 If your argument is that when it is completely safe to go through it then that is ok, why can't cars do it, if it is completely safe? The size and weight of the vehicle in question is irrelevant, if it is safe then there is no accident, then there are no worries. This is not a criticism of cyclists, just wondering how you would feel if cars did the same thing. If people treated them the same way they treat stop signs and completly stop first, I dont see the problem tbh. Not like all round abouts have traffic lights etc.
Daggers Posted 1 June 2012 Posted 1 June 2012 What an exciting life you both must lead, I think I'll leave the board for now and go outside to the real world
Finnegan Posted 1 June 2012 Posted 1 June 2012 21st century fox and Finnegan thanks for your input on this thread, never before have I read such well made points and well researched thoughtful replies and the way you joined the discussion and put across your views was breathtaking. I see between the two of you, you have posted over 26,000 posts. What an exciting life you both must lead, I think I'll leave the board for now and go outside to the real world, you two have a wonderful afternoon now and make sure you clean your rooms and eat all your dinner when your mum calls you. Au revoir.
Finnegan Posted 1 June 2012 Posted 1 June 2012 I love how much you keep digging, like it's not plainly obvious to everyone else that you've just thrown your toys out and are desperately trying to pretend it's everyone else, not you, that's being a complete queen. Put the keyboard down, take your own advice, actually **** off for a few hours and everyone will have forgotten you having a complete mare by tomorrow. Well, everyone except Daggers, he never lets go.
HEGGSY Posted 1 June 2012 Posted 1 June 2012 I don't get this argument, I thought this thread was about bikes. Finners
AdamN Posted 1 June 2012 Posted 1 June 2012 I love how much you keep digging, like it's not plainly obvious to everyone else that you've just thrown your toys out and are desperately trying to pretend it's everyone else, not you, that's being a complete queen. In fairness to him, anyone posting in a thread about sweaty men pumping away in lycra has to be a bit of a queen... Yes, I realise that includes me
simmo1977 Posted 1 June 2012 Posted 1 June 2012 Wow you all take this a bit serious don't you?, can you all not just chill and have a sandwich? No toys out of the pram here, i've quite enjoyed this afternoon, some of the photo's that have been posted have had me literally laughing out loud including the ones just above. Did you not think at some point I may have been reeling you all in just for a bit of fun? I'm finishing work now and will probably not come back on until next week so have a good weekend all and safe cycling.
Finnegan Posted 1 June 2012 Posted 1 June 2012 nobody is taking this in any way seriously. Except apparently you.
simmo1977 Posted 1 June 2012 Posted 1 June 2012 I can assure you i'm not taking this seriously at all, I don't tend to take anything in life too seriously, if Babylon still posts on here you can ask him as i'm mates with him in "real" life. I forgot to mention whoever posted the McDonalds road sweeper picture earlier, that was the best one by far.

I really should go back and read the thread now to see what this was all about.
Captain... Posted 1 June 2012 Posted 1 June 2012 Has mare, claims some inception like trolling ploy. I really should go back and read the thread now to see what this was all about. I think it's about football.
The Doctor Posted 1 June 2012 Posted 1 June 2012 k44 can't say I'm keen on bikes - too much work and you end up wearing a ridiculous looking helmet.
Rincewind Posted 1 June 2012 Posted 1 June 2012 I don't ride a bike or know anything about them so I have not been reading this thread. But I have found that whatever the topic starter by the 3rd or 4th page the topic will be food, drink, boobs or the latest conspiracy theory depending on the poster.
