Michael Johnson - Idiot.

I remember thinking he could have been an England great when he burst onto the scene all those years ago. His star just keeps on falling and it would appear he's got no-one to blame but himself. What a waste of talent.

Thats very bad

But I kindov feel abit for the lad; this issue aside

His career has basically disintegrated in front of his eyes, he was a true talent at one point

Where's the moan in when you need it, I can just hear the call now...

Caller "I know Johnson is a fat drunk but WHY WONT PEARSON PLAY HIM IN THE MIDDLE? He's class."

Stringer "But caller... not only is he in jail, he's not even at the club any more."

Caller "That's no excuse, Pearson out!"

No excuses for drink driving. Utter idiot.

Agreed.

Courts should throw the book at any drink drivers, but I bet he gets a slap on the hand because he's a footballer, as per usual

He's stupid but i guess I have some sympathy with him. I doubt anyone would choose become so dependant on alcohol that it ****s up their life (no proof, but there were rumours when he joined us).

I assume this was reason why Pearson wasn't playing him, there was obviously something off-field going on - might not have been this, but he seems a bit of a mess.

Clearly hasn't changed his ways or taking his career seriously still and been lapping up the cash at our expense this season what a willy puller

Not one year ago I was so excited about the prospect of seeing him play for us this season. Now I can't understand how he's still a professional footballer and he's a c**t!

No, I've not. And I'm sure there are many others who don't. There are others who actually care about themselves, the cargo they carry, and the other drivers they are being a danger to.

So I can gladly say, non self-righteously that Michael Johnson, along with every other drink driver; is an inconsiderate and absolute idiot. Anyone getting into the car with the intention to drive with so much as the smell of alcohol on their breath is an utter c*nt.

Anyone caught over the limit should have their car taken, crushed and their license revoked for 10 years. No arguments, no lee-way.

One of the most selfish things you can do.

As soon as I saw lcfcstu had posted in this thread I knew he'd be on the case pretty much defending Johnson. He's such a LAD, right?

Sorry,who are you?

I never use the term 'LAD'

So is having one or two pints worse/more distracting than someone changing their CD whilst driving? Or arguing with the kids in the back? No!

For once, I kinda agree with Stu.

What he (Johnson) did was reckless and stupid, but people are being far too quick to judge him and loosing sight of their own flaws. If you've had a couple of pints the night before and then driven the following morning - you're over the limit and are technically drink-driving. It may be semantics, but if you've done so (as I imagine many have), then to cast such critisms on Johnson is slightly hypocritical no?
