I don't like the w*nker but spurs have treated him like crap. Despite for what he's done at Spurs I think he'll be struggling for work because of his age also his dislike going up north. His next stop will be the retirement home!

Everton fans must be sweating!

Hes been thinking about taking a job abroad for 6months to a year anyway. Also, he would've taken the England job had he been offered it. He wouldn't have been at Spurs for much longer, a year or two at the max.

Didn't think Redknapp would leave. I hate Tottenham, but the work he has done is fantastic. And I would have thought, if Redknapp wanted another two years instead of 12 months, Levy would have been quick to tie him down.

In my opinion, Tottenham is not that much of a step forward. The only advantage is probably the bigger transfer budget. Everton are a big club, big fanbase and Moyes has continued to work wonders with little money avaliable. Not sure if I would leave Everton for Spurs if I was Moyes, especially considering everything he has done to take the club forward.

Shocking decision.

They have overachieved under Redknapp since he came and I'm not sure what more Spurs want from a Manager.

The only reason I can see for Spurs parting ways with him is if he wanted a contract that was too long ie: 3/4 years.

Apart from that I really dont know what they expect.

I've read that Levy has got the hump with Redknapp over non footballing matters. If that's true then he is allowing his ego to take priority over the good of the club.

If nothing else it was great to see an Englishman in charge of a top 4 English club and managing in the champions league. No doubt he'll be replaced by yet another foreign coach and we'll be left with Pardew, McDermott (is he English?), Adkins and Allardyce. Not good for our game.

Bit of a risk for spurs at a time when they're just clinging on to the likes of Bale and Modric.

Reminds me of Villa, drifting about at the bottom of the table for years, O'Neill gets them up near the top and then everyone starts to think they are better than they are, and that a better manager could take them that extra step (lots of their fans were like that.)... look where they are now. Unless they get someone very good in I can see them drifting back to mid table again.

Does anyone else think that this is Harry's own fault for letting himself be taken along with the media bandwagon regarding the England job and Spurs' subsequent collapse?

I'm not contesting his good work.

Yeah, sort of, but then Levy should be giving him a bollocking in private and letting him get on with it. That situation has been and gone and, to be fair to Redknapp, he's said more or less his ewhole career he wanted that job, you can't blame him for having his head turned. The FA shouldn't have strung him along.

Who are Spurs going to get that will do any better, given they didn't get CL football this year and they're surely now doomed to losing their two biggest stars?

I'm not a big Harry fan but this just smacks of more ridiculous short sightedness from a trigger happy chairman who's gone through far too many managers in his tenure.

Thing that baffles me the most, is that he wasnt even offered the England job, after pretty much the entire country agreed he was the best man for it. I honestly thought he'd been offered it and turned it down

Shocking decision by Spurs, Harry was definitely building a good team there. I can see them going down hill like Villa did when O'Neill left and i hope they do.

Really? I think you will find the media thought he was the man for the job, or more to the point could not resist the headlines when in two days Harry was cleared of tax evasion and then Capello quit. Most people I chat to about Redknap for England were resigned to it becuase they thought it was inevitable, not becuase they thought we was any good.

He has done an ok job at Tottenham, but not really much more than Martin Jol, only he got lucky becasue a few other teams around and about the top 4 have had bad seasons.

He was top of pretty much everybodys list that I spoke to about it. If you would have given people the choice between Hodgson and Redknapp when this all kicked off in the first place, i'd be interested to see how many people would have actually said Hodgson.

Took them from the bottom club in 2008 with two points after 8 games to fourth in the Prem this year.

They have no depth in squad for a top four team and it's no wonder the dip in form came at the end of the season as players were being ran into the ground as a result.

They've got a top four first eleven and after that a mediocre mid table squad.

I personally don't see this as being the managers fault.

They'll have to invest massively to get above fourth and hire a Jose or a Boas with a transfer budget demand...... They will be next seasons Liverpool if the are not careful.

Sad.

Redknapp is massively overrated and should have been done for tax evasion. Not surprised they want to get rid, hes a decent lower-mid table manager but not someone to take you to the top.

Am I the only one that thinks Redknapps sacking is quite justified?

Spent a fortune, were about 17 points clear of 4th in February and managed to cock that up, no top manager in the World would let a lead like that slip. Would not have had any confidence in him finishing above the Mancs, Arsenal or Chelsea next season.

He's done a good job, but I think he's taken them as far as he could. They were in a great position in February and had third place comfortably, yet threw it away.

You can blame the FA as people have done (not sure what for, they never mentioned Redknapp as a choice) but Spurs should be in the Champions League, having finished third.

Saw a stat today on twitter (I assume from Opta) that Spurs were further away from the leaders this season, in terms of points, than at any time since 'Arry took over.
