KFS Posted 13 April 2013 Posted 13 April 2013 We have to go on a run, it's annoying but we'll deserve it if we're playing Prem football after that set of fixtures.
marko Posted 13 April 2013 Posted 13 April 2013 Blimey, I bet Lamby's beating his maggot to death at the minute.
Neil_LCFC Posted 13 April 2013 Posted 13 April 2013 Do some people still think Bruce is a s hit manager and would rather have Pearson ? Oh yes but we need to stick with him as you have to have 3 years to get a team promoted as Bruce is proving ! There must be thousands of Hull fans wishing Pearson was still in charge as they have had no stability.
darko2k7 Posted 13 April 2013 Posted 13 April 2013 We've had our chance, it's a miracle were still within touching distance we certainly don't deserve to be. Never understand why people say we don't deserve to be still in with a chance . surely we deserve to be where we are based on result over the entire season , just like every other team deserves to be where they are . it might be possible, but only a fool would bet on it. Man City have more chance of overturning United than we do of going up no quite
Kitchandro Posted 13 April 2013 Posted 13 April 2013 Today's results don't really make that much difference. If we beat Bolton we overhaul them, if we beat Forest on the last day we'll probably do it. But the likelihood of us winning both is minimal.
Corky Posted 13 April 2013 Posted 13 April 2013 Wolves second bottom again Well done to Hull, they might have some small-time fans but they've done it on the pitch. And Steve Bruce has done a very good job.

And Steve Bruce has done a very good job. Hull fans seem to be right about Pearson, they got some stick when we got him and they ended up with Steve Bruce. I wish we had Steve Bruce now...
Fox92 Posted 13 April 2013 Posted 13 April 2013 Think Hull are the strongest out of us all in terms of staying in the Premier League. And Bruce has done it before.
acooling08 Posted 13 April 2013 Posted 13 April 2013 Tbf I think everybody thought Hull had done well getting Bruce. Guess who laid the foundations though, you guessed it. Nigel ****ing Pearson.
Neil_LCFC Posted 13 April 2013 Posted 13 April 2013 I'm starting to think we are cursed ,if we had Mourinho we would still be useless and if he signed Messi he would be getting booed off and on the bench after going 15 games without a goal. we seem to be a graveyard for managers and players in recent years . Leicester is where you go to be s h i t .
Fox92 Posted 13 April 2013 Posted 13 April 2013 Tbf I think everybody thought Hull had done well getting Bruce. Guess who laid the foundations though, you guessed it. Nigel ****ing Pearson. True... One of my flatmates supports Hull, and he said that most of the Pearson signings are a key part of the side - Chester, Hobbs, Brady? etc. It's just that Bruce, with a few additions of his own, has taken the club that one step more. He is a good manager at this level though, and I said at the time, his appointment for Hull was a very good one. He certainly has the ability to keep them in the Prem.
RonnieTodger Posted 13 April 2013 Posted 13 April 2013 Somehow, if we beat Bolton on Tuesday and Forest drop pts, we're back in the top 6. That's a massive if though, as it'd require 2 teams on the worst runs of their season to avoid defeat simultaneously. Forest have Boro away

SystonFox Posted 13 April 2013 Posted 13 April 2013 It will be. They will be 6th and we will need a win to leapfrog them. Won't happen and it'll all go bat shit crazy in Notts
Bausor Posted 13 April 2013 Posted 13 April 2013 Its back in our hands now again due to the teams we have to play
Harry - LCFC Posted 13 April 2013 Posted 13 April 2013 Watford losing today was perhaps a good thing. Might be disinterested by the time we come to play them. Maybe the last game against forest is going to be a play-off decider. I'd take that right now, needing to win at Forest. At the moment we're looking at a real uphill battle so I'd be content with just being in with a chance going into the final game
ruisliptiger Posted 13 April 2013 Posted 13 April 2013 It's a strange one. This season has been immense with Bruce and were now odds on to be promoted. With the level of funding at our club there is no way Pearson would have had us in this position. Well that's my gut feeling anyway. However we have a huge amount to thank hum for. He turned around our club in double quick time when the Premier League was looking like a hangover we were going to take a long time to recover from. Mercenaries on Premier League wages we're looking like they would bankrupt the club. Nigel and Adam Pearson got to grips with this quicker than we could ever hoped for. Adam Pearson saved the club from serious financial problems that could have crippled us for a decade. Nigel Pearson made some very shrewd signings and was instrumental in shipping many a bad penny out of the club. Flirting with the play-offs in our first year back in the championship was far better than we could ever have expected. In his second year he had us in a position where I had every confidence that we would make the play-offs come the end of the season. For all the good he did for us though we also have to thank Mr King Power for taking him away from us at (with hindsight) the perfect time. It allowed our chairman to take stock of the direction he wished to proceed and invested a decent amount of money (for us) to secure Steve Bruce's services. Steve Bruce has gone out and secured the icing required to compliment Nigel Pearson's perfectly scrummy cake. Who knows; Pearson may have done the job for us this year, we'll never know. However, Bruce is a born winner and knows how to get the job done. Something Person hasn't quite managed yet. Although I wouldn't put it past him next year at Leicester if he's allowed to keep the job and is allowed to do it on his own terms.
Harry - LCFC Posted 13 April 2013 Posted 13 April 2013 Agree with that. Pearson is progressing as a manger and I hope these experiences in the Championship allow him to learn from mistakes. Still want him here next season, still believe we'll go up if he is.

StanSP Posted 13 April 2013 Posted 13 April 2013 How the **** are we still in contention for play-offs? Utterly ridiculous. You'd be forgiven for thinking we were the worst team in the division. Middlesbrough are. Only 2 wins since January. They are also now only 6 points off relegation. Charlton 6 points off play-offs. This bloody division. .
Harry - LCFC Posted 13 April 2013 Posted 13 April 2013 Do you still believe in Father Christmas , the tooth fairy and Jimmy Saville was just being friendly ? I do enjoy it when people compare my opinions to those sort of things you've stated above. As if Pearson getting us promoted next season is as ridiculous a thought as Santa! Laughable it really is. Can Pearson get us promoted next season? Of course there's a possibility. If you disagree, fine, but don't try and tell me a Pearson led promotion next season is impossible. I won't tolerate such nonsense.
yorkie1999 Posted 13 April 2013 Posted 13 April 2013 I think this year is one big fvcking FA conspiracy with Cardiff always set to go up to give the welsh a derby game since they lost out to wembley with the FA cup etc. it's all being set up for us and forest to give the championship some sort of last day excitement. It just seems crazy how we can go from a team that plays like a prem team to look like a sunday league side. Sounds daft but that's what an afternoon on the beer does for you

Sounds daft but that's what an afternoon on the beer does for you There's no Fa conspiracy. If we hadn't of been so sh*t over the past 13 games I very much doubt we would be going into the last game of the season with so much riding on one game.
purpleronnie Posted 13 April 2013 Posted 13 April 2013 Its just me and Finnegan who will be looking forward to the best derby in the premiership. cardiff v swansea.
