Fox in the North Posted 21 June 2012 Posted 21 June 2012 Czech reublic for sneaky win, jiracek to score winner
VinceNoir Posted 21 June 2012 Posted 21 June 2012 I've got a feeling that the Czechs might do this. Portugal are like Leicester as they tend to turn up against the big teams and mess up against smaller teams. They lost 1-3 at home to Turkey just before the tournament, so this certainly won't be a walkover. I'm going for 1-1 and the Czechs to do it late on in ET.
Tielemans63 Posted 21 June 2012 Posted 21 June 2012 Portugal for the win, definitely. Portugal weren't great in the group stage but the Czech Rep were dreadful.
21st Century Fox Posted 21 June 2012 Posted 21 June 2012 Due to the Anglo-Portuguese Treaty of 1373 I feel obliged to support our Iberian brothers.
hbkkids Posted 21 June 2012 Posted 21 June 2012 Is it Golden goal if it goes to ET or not? they scrapped that years ago
stix Posted 21 June 2012 Posted 21 June 2012 Keown on Ronaldo...."Incredible spring he's got, he's like an NFL basketball player"
Zingari Posted 21 June 2012 Posted 21 June 2012 Ronaldo is absolutely superb .Best player I have ever seen without a doubt !
ScouseFox Posted 21 June 2012 Posted 21 June 2012 Sensational bit of play from him at the end. Very unlucky to hit the post. Portugal looked like they decided to start playing about five minutes from the end of the half. More of that second half and we'll get an exciting game.
Vacamion Posted 21 June 2012 Posted 21 June 2012 Czechs can still do this. If you offered them 0-0 at 70 mins, they (and many other teams) would have snapped your hand off. If it goes to ET, the Czechs will fancy taking it to pens.
shen Posted 21 June 2012 Posted 21 June 2012 Joao Perreira, what a brilliant tournament he's had! I know Ronaldo will (rightfully) occupy the headlines, but they have (yet another) gem of a right-back there!
Super_horns Posted 21 June 2012 Posted 21 June 2012 Portugal deserve that...been on top and should be someway ahead.
Vacamion Posted 21 June 2012 Posted 21 June 2012 Custodio is a great name for a defensive midfielder.
The Doctor Posted 21 June 2012 Posted 21 June 2012 So, too early to be laughing at the cheating cunts yet?
FoxyPV Posted 21 June 2012 Posted 21 June 2012 As soon as Keown mentioned the lack of runners from midfield - a runner comes from midfield and sets up the goal.
Captain... Posted 21 June 2012 Posted 21 June 2012 Joao Perreira, what a brilliant tournament he's had! I know Ronaldo will (rightfully) occupy the headlines, but they have (yet another) gem of a right-back there! I thought he was OK, he gave the ball away quite a bit and wasn't really tested defensively, Moutihno and Concentrao were both much better, Postiga was his usual shit self, but Almeida proved why he is still their front man.
Fox in the North Posted 21 June 2012 Posted 21 June 2012 Damn you Portugal just too good x) now I shall pray to the Greek gods to smile on them to beat ze Germans
Tielemans63 Posted 21 June 2012 Posted 21 June 2012 now I shall pray to the Greek gods to smile on them to beat ze Germans Would be nice but I honestly think the Greeks have got no chance.
Fox in the North Posted 21 June 2012 Posted 21 June 2012 Would be nice but I honestly think the Greeks have got no chance. It would be very nice haha, I root for the underdog all the time but I think even the gods themselves couldn't stop a German juggernaut.
shen Posted 22 June 2012 Posted 22 June 2012 I thought he was OK, he gave the ball away quite a bit and wasn't really tested defensively, Moutihno and Concentrao were both much better, Postiga was his usual shit self, but Almeida proved why he is still their front man. I actually first thought it was Perreira who made the assist, before realising it was Moutinho (who had an excellent game). Thought Perreira was excellent in the previous three games though.
Haydos Posted 22 June 2012 Posted 22 June 2012 Moutinho was excellent. Ronaldo coming to the boil though. Good on him, was everywhere again last night.
