Brainy Posted 14 August 2013 Posted 14 August 2013 Just been a total saddo and worked out my league record at my ground since I've just played my last game there *sniff* 465 games played 392 wins 53 draws 20 losses Averaging 2.64pts per game My record: 309 games played 268 wins 32 draws 9 losses Averaging 2.70pts per game
Dan Posted 14 August 2013 Posted 14 August 2013 you're in it for the long haul then. I literally have no idea who to be, so I'll stick at this one play it often enough.

Finnegan Posted 14 August 2013 Posted 14 August 2013 Tactically I think I am a bit of a Nigel Pearson on FM2013 ( struggling to find the head-butt option when interacting with players, though...) Aggressive > threaten with transfer. The headbutt is implied.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 14 August 2013 Posted 14 August 2013 I think I started off in Asia, fairly easy to win their champions league if you're in Korea.
Ozwin Posted 17 August 2013 Posted 17 August 2013 I'm Hayes & Yeading, indifferent start but I intend to be patient. If I work my way up England (which is doable) I'll have a very decent reputation. Really not worth the effort. You can get a decent side in South America with Sunday league rep, Hayes and Yeading is gonna take you a lifetime to get anywhere. I started as Guarani in Brazil when I did it and managed to win the CL but got bored. Don't kill yourself!
Fox92 Posted 17 August 2013 Posted 17 August 2013 After a slow start to the season (bottom by September), I've turned the form around and now sitting 7th. Managed to win away at Anfield for the first time, and also beat Chelsea which is a fierce rivalry of course. Managed to get through to the quater finals of the League Cup for the first time as well, although I've got a challenge playing Southampton (away) as they always beat me. 352 seems to be working at the minute, even my wing backs chip in with a few goals.

I think I am going to declare myself as tactically inept. on fm2013, I cant seem to get a formation to do well for more than 10-12 games and then don't seem able to stop the onset of a terrible slump. I can go through a 3-4 different formations in a season just to keep myself floating.. Best I have achieved recently is 6th with Liverpool... and even that was after a re-incarnation
Brainy Posted 17 August 2013 Posted 17 August 2013 I've used my formation for 44 years probably not a good thing

Brainy Posted 17 August 2013 Posted 17 August 2013 2055/56 - 1st seed for the 1st time for the CL. Comfortably qualify from my group containing Lyon, Celtic and FC Basel. Juventus 1-2 Sparta Prague Sparta Prague 2-0 Juventus Barcelona 1-1 Sparta Prague Sparta Prague 1-0 Barcelona Then to the bellends Man Utd, knocked me out of my first SF's 3 years ago and beat me in the final two years ago. Had the first leg at home which I prefer After 70mins, i'm 5-2 down. Man Utd were scoring pretty much everytime they went forward. Last 5mins I pull two goals back, 4-5. 3 mins added on and Man Utd sneak another. in the 95th minute (Ferguson long retired btw) Mareco 3 goals for me Sparta Prague 4-6 Man Utd Nothing to lose for the 2nd leg, knew I had to try something different. I lost my first league game in months sandwiched between the two legs, absolutely shocking performance but thought i'd try and boost their confidence in the post match teamtalk rather than have a go at them. Told the Man Utd boss that the pressure was on him to succeed with such a talented squad. Went same formation but with more attacking players and changed my playing style. I went to Old Trafford needing to score atleast 3 goals. Man Utd 0-3 Sparta Prague. Best performance ever, didn't even give them a sniff. Had to make an early change through injury, risked bringing on some youngster with natural fitness no better than that of a frog. He ran the game. Had the biggest league game in years 3 days before CL final. A defeat would pretty much cost me but I would happily finish 2nd in the league if I was to win the CL. Stuck a weak team out and lost 2-1 so as I speak i'm pretty much done. Anyway i'm up against PSG in the final. Quite a few attacking players missing so I had a couple of youngsters who came through my academy on the bench. Took the lead, lost it, took the lead again and conceded an equaliser in the 85th min to make it 2-2. Head into ET and bag another goal to make it 3-2. FT. Its taken me 44 seasons to do something that other people could probably do in 10 but who gives a ****. I did it my way
Brainy Posted 18 August 2013 Posted 18 August 2013 Its happened again ! Slavia Prague 1pt lead over me with two games to play, I only have one. Go to watch their 1st game and they lose 3-2. Take a 1pt lead into the final day where they can only manage a 1-1 draw at home, I beat Viktoria Plzen 4-0 to complete my 1st 100% winning home record with Sparta, a new record seven league titles in a row and ofcourse our first ever CL trophy.
Jordan Posted 18 August 2013 Posted 18 August 2013 I returned to FM after a little break. In my Þróttur save, I came so close to repeating as Icelandic champions, Stjarnan beat us at their ground on the last day of the season to pip us to the title. I had some more crazy European results in Champions League qualifying, and just missed out in the final champions qualifying round! But we did qualify for the Europa Cup group stage. That all improved my reputation, so I figured it was a good time to pack my bags and get paid. So, after the 2018 season ended, I grabbed the newly-vacant Sunderland job in League One for a decent payday. Their squad seemed quite strong for that level (even with Bébé on the roster), and they were offering me good wage and transfer budgets, so I figured promotion to the Championship should be a piece of cake. So far, it has been. I'm in 1st place and 15 points clear of 3rd place with 13 games to go. The only thing that can stop me is all the bugs in the program, though! I just finished scraping past Coventry 1-0 (eh, a win's a win) and my game will not skip past the pep talk screen. Nothing I click on is taking me past the post-game... Wtf?!
Fox92 Posted 19 August 2013 Posted 19 August 2013 ffs, another penalty shoot out bug. Anyone else had it? Played Southampton in the league cup quater final at St Mary's (they are a very good team), got a 1-1 draw. Match went to penalties and the game froze. Couldn't advance at all, tried everything. Second time it's happened to me! I know that I'll load the game back up and lose!
The Horse's Mouth Posted 19 August 2013 Posted 19 August 2013 Should be able to play this **** again sometime this week, anybody want to give me a team?

You can get a decent side in South America with Sunday league rep, Hayes and Yeading is gonna take you a lifetime to get anywhere. I started as Guarani in Brazil when I did it and managed to win the CL but got bored. Don't kill yourself! I fvcked it off. I'm trying to be more patient but people under-estimate just how bad H&Y are, truly appalling. I may have another go starting in SA if that's the case. But for now I'm Nantes. Makings of a decent side although we're not gonna go up this year, don't win enough.
Brainy Posted 19 August 2013 Posted 19 August 2013 SA is horrible. Did a network game with a mate there, I was Orlando and he was the Kaizer Chiefs. The squad's are absolutely massive, pretty much just couldnt be arsed to sort it all out. Some teams names out there though are amazing
The Horse's Mouth Posted 19 August 2013 Posted 19 August 2013 South America or Asia you should consider
Fox92 Posted 20 August 2013 Posted 20 August 2013 Fvck Everton. I've never beaten them on this years version (must of had 12+ attempts in all my years as Leeds manager). I was on a 13 match unbeaten run, 5th in the Premier League, played Everton and they beat me to end the run. Hate playing against them.
Jordan Posted 21 August 2013 Posted 21 August 2013 When I'm trying to open FM, I'm getting all these XML parsing error messages. When it loads, and I try to restart my saved game, I'm getting a "The saved game cannot be loaded" error message
