Brace yourself....

Yes we are "weaker" but we don't want Pearson to "panic buy" and rush in to buy players. He will be working quietly in the background with Steve Walsh, no doubt. He plays his cards close to his chest, we all know that, but that's a good thing.

a) Since when were the Mercury in a poisiton to promise us 8 new players.

b) You do know there are still weeks of the transfer window remaining and that not many clubs have signed more players than us so far right?

It's frustrating that we don't know everything that's going on, but we will find out eventually and obviously there is a reason for us adopting this approach.

We won't be signing 8 new players. Bamba was shit and Mills was a bad egg with Pearson so how are we weaker?

One decent centre half, a right back and a winger and we should be sorted. It's whether Pearson's up to it that's the concern for me.

Right back is no probs... a defensive midfielder instead of a right-back for me (then again, think Matt James can play that role), but a winger, centre-half and a targetman are vital IMO - I get the sneaky feeling Harry Kane maybe coming here.

8 new players? Where, can you link me please.

What's going on? Players have returned for training as is usual this time of year

Weaker than last year? We've signed 3 players and let two go... That's going to be subjective, Mills hadn't played for half a season and was up & down before then & Bamba was generally bombscare, IMO we're stronger, (the rest who went, Oakley, Weale, Howard etc had no part to play anyway) ...and they'll be more signings to add anyway.

Our targets in Chester & Stewart are known, they are players currently playing a key part in their first team who, a) have no need to sell, b) don't like the way we went about our business last season so don't want to do business with us & not forgetting if they were to become available we'll face competition for them

Most people would think signing 3 players whilst other managers were on a beach somewhere was a good thing.

Would you sooner us revert to 2nd or 3rd choice signings just get someone in to appease your desire for news, or would you want us to pursue our 1st choices whilst they're still an option and be a better team for it?

Posts like this are ridiculous, I wouldn't be surprised if we're taken right to deadline day if the quality of our target is high enough.
