goose2010 Posted 8 August 2012 Posted 8 August 2012 I think the person who wrote this in the Daily Mail won't be too far behind either: "Hester, who is gay, allowed her to ride his young horse, Valegro, as a novice, planning to ride the animal himself when he reached international standard." Who is gay... why did that need to be there? Nothing shocks me when it comes to the Daily Mail to be honest, i dont know how they get away with it.

AoWW Posted 8 August 2012 Posted 8 August 2012 Are you sure we won the gold in the equestrian yesterday the daily mirror seem to think the Dutch did! Grrrrrrrr

purpleronnie Posted 8 August 2012 Posted 8 August 2012 I think mo will really struggle to get gold in the final. Maybe struggle to get a medal? Hope I'm wrong....odds are I will be.
davieG Posted 8 August 2012 Author Posted 8 August 2012 South Yorkshire police said vandals had defaced winning heptathlete Jessica Ennis's gold postbox in Barkers Pool, Sheffield, on Monday night, by spraying it with graffiti. Royal Mail repainted it on Tuesday

I swear you're the most pessimistic fan ever. Don't worry, he was running within himself today and just wanted to make sure he qualified.

Not pessimistic, just watching the race he seemed to be struggling, it would take a big change for him to win it....not saying that isnt possible it is...but purely based on the heat its going to be tough........I guess we'll see.
Guest MattP Posted 8 August 2012 Posted 8 August 2012 I swear you're the most pessimistic fan ever. Don't worry, he was running within himself today and just wanted to make sure he qualified. Pessimistic is an under statement... You want to see the Cricket thread!
marko Posted 8 August 2012 Posted 8 August 2012 Pessimistic is an under statement... You want to see the Cricket thread! That's what I'm basing my observations on, coupled with this
purpleronnie Posted 8 August 2012 Posted 8 August 2012 Pessimistic is an under statement... You want to see the Cricket thread! Oh come on ..Besides I said we'd struggle against SA and I was right. Maybe I shouldnt express an opinion and just blindly say we'll win everything.

We will indeed. The bookies have him as favourite and they don't get it wrong too often. Plus, he's got 3 rest days to recover.

You couldn't see us winning in Australia I remember and you thought the Indians would turn us over, I've never seen an England cricket fan have such a negative outlook over the greatest period in our test history.

Did I? I don't remember that.......I remember thinking we'll lose every 20/20 game in the WC...and we ended up winning it Maybe this is why the bookies are very happy I keep placing bets. mmm.

AoWW Posted 8 August 2012 Posted 8 August 2012 Disappointed for Nick Skelton that he didn't get an individual medal in the Show Jumping. Very unlucky.
Finnegan Posted 8 August 2012 Posted 8 August 2012 You're all seriously welcome to Jess Ennis and Victoria Pendleton. Allyson Felix is the foxiest athlete of all.
Webbo Posted 8 August 2012 Posted 8 August 2012 You're all seriously welcome to Jess Ennis and Victoria Pendleton. Allyson Felix is the foxiest athlete of all. The Argentinian women's hockey team. Edit; They're still not getting the Falklands though.

AoWW Posted 8 August 2012 Posted 8 August 2012 Even I was thinking the Dutch hockey team were quite fit earlier.
