Simmo86 Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 Rob Tanner @RobTannerMerc LCFC have had a bid for Anthony Gerrard rejected.
foxfanazer Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 Would Really like him here. How much is he worth?
Petchy Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 Don't put another bid in for him, please don't Nige!
Happy Fox Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 Loaning out a young CB from the prem may be a better idea imo.
LeicesterAreGoingUp Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 forgot gerrard, why not give someone like taft a chance after the apparently preformed so well when he was on loan??
kingfox Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 He comes across as a massive bellend sometimes. He is a good player but just don't like his attitude sometimes, like his cousin he is a cocky shit.
davieG Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 Well if we sign him he'll be our bellend - makes all the difference
LCFCstriker Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 forgot gerrard, why not give someone like taft a chance after the apparently preformed so well when he was on loan?? Wasn't he on loan to a Swedish 3rd division side.. Don't know what the standards like?
Happy Fox Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 http://www.walesonline.co.uk/footballnation/football-news/2012/08/03/cardiff-city-turn-down-leicester-and-bristol-city-bids-for-anthony-gerrard-91466-31542525/ Cardiff City have turned down two offers for out-of-favour defender Anthony Gerrard. Championship rivals Bristol City and Leicester City have both made bids thought to be in the region of £200,000. But Cardiff boss Malky Mackay has rejected both offers despite being keen to off-load the centre-half. Gerrard’s days at Cardiff City Stadium appeared numbered last month when he was left behind as the rest of the squad travelled to Switzerland for a pre-season training camp. The 26-year-old told fans on Twitter he had not been given a reason for the snub, and he is clearly well behind the likes of Ben Turner, Mark Hudson and even Darcy Blake in the manager’s thinking. Leicester and Bristol City are now considering whether to up their offers, while other Championship clubs are also believed to have expressed interest.
EnderbyFox Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 forgot gerrard, why not give someone like taft a chance after the apparently preformed so well when he was on loan?? Because Gerrard is better than Taft, and performing well on loan at Nuneaton/some Swedish third division side doesn't mean he will be able to cut it in the Championship
NiftyFox Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 Remember that penalty miss against Liverpool in the Carling Cup Final...
Albert Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 Would be a good acquisition imo. Decent price and would add good experience to the squad. No nonsense defender....Pearson type player
Guest Bilo Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 Not a fan, we should be looking at better in my opinion. We don't need any more defenders either.
Libertine Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 Remember that penalty miss against Liverpool in the Carling Cup Final... Yeh, he'd definitely be first choice peno taker here.
Leicester_Numan Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 For that kind of price he'll be a good acquisition. No complaints from me
Simmo86 Posted 3 August 2012 Author Posted 3 August 2012 Any news on SSL yet? Strange one. Do we really need Gerrard, Wesley, Whitbread and SSL?
EverybodyDannsNow Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 Would be a decent signing, i think were more in need of a right back though with Peltier on his way out. Cant really see De Laet impressing in that position.
Legend fox Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 please dont sign him Nige he has no abbilty and is not his Cousin
Out Foxed Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 For that kind of price he'll be a good acquisition. No complaints from me I'm inclined to agree.
foxfanazer Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 please dont sign him Nige he has no abbilty and is not his Cousin Someone should make sure NP knows it isn't Steven Gerrard!!
Schlupp Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 He's a great defender but do we even need anymore defenders? We need a winger imo
