Wymsey Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 Anyone got any? Would you want one (if so, what)? We've just purchased two border collies from a local animal rescue centre (one was left abandoned (chained to some lamp post), whilst the other's owners couldn't look after him no longer). .
Webbo Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 My wife wants a pug dog even though she's allergic to dogs and cats. Even if she wasn't I wouldn't one of the yappy little bastards. Personally I'd like a rescue greyhound.
Asha Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 I really want a chinchilla or a frog, but you're not allowed pets in halls
Fox92 Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 Don't really like dogs, but if anything, it would be a basset hound. I'd call it Napoleon. If I had loads of money, I'd go for an animal that I like but is still immense, like a crocodile or a camel.
Rincewind Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 You'd never be short of handbags with a crocodile and if the camel leaves hair all over the place unlike a dog you can knit yourself a coat.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 Me and the missus are in the market for a house, once we have that sorted we're getting a dog. She wants a labrador, I want a springer spaniel. So it'll either be a crossbreed or both! I like the idea of a rescued greyhound - again lovely dogs with no agression. Or a whippet if space is a problem. I like most animals - the others on my "to get at some point" list are: - another rabbit (cottontail/wild type, much more lively than typical domestic breeds) - red eye American tree frog - ducks/geese - mudskipper - pangolin (if I'm ever rich and have the means to keep one in a nice environment) At the moment all I have is moths. They won't leave while the TV's on.
Charl91 Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 I have a cat called Dandelion - got her for my 10th birthday, so had her over 11 years now. She's black and part siamese and still looks like a kitten though really. Parents also have a rabbit and 3 chickens, but the chickens were eaten by the Fox (R.I.P Ginny, Hermione and Luna!). I like most pets to be honest, but would probably choose a cat over a dog just because they're less mess and effort. When I'm much older and settled down, I'm going to get Llamas. Border collies are cool - I've always said that if I get a dog, then that's what I would get. Smart animals.
Amin Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 Got two cats from birth. The mother ran away a few months after giving birth to them.
acooling08 Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 Would love a dog, unfortunately I know I'd be too lazy to bother to walk it every day. Probably couldn't afford the food either.
21st Century Fox Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 Once I've sold enough llello I'm thinking of getting a tiger.

Daggers Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 Our bunny escaped last night to have a fight with the local topcat in the middle of the road. Hard as fvckin' nails, our bunny.

Whenever we let the Rabbit out for a run round the garden it bosses the cat around. It knows the cat is scared of it and has fun chasing it off the garden. Cat refuses to go near it.

It's amazing the spectrum of courage on a rabbit. Ranges from absolute panic being in the presence of anything else which moves, to "think I'll have a fight with a snake for a larf" Also funny, when they win a fight with another animal they usually go in for a sneaky little rape too
FoxesAreBlue Posted 10 August 2012 Posted 10 August 2012 Got a springer spaniel and I swear the clever little ****er is a genius. If you have food in your hand or on the plate he understands perfect English and will do all the tricks in the book to earn a reward. As soon as you clear your plate though he's suddenly as deaf as a bloody post.

Bellend Sebastian Posted 10 August 2012 Posted 10 August 2012 I've got a cat and the most remarkable thing about it is how brown it is. Brown as brown can be
welck12 Posted 10 August 2012 Posted 10 August 2012 I've finally convinced the missis to get a dog now we have our own place. I want a newfoundland but i've had to settle for an Old English Sheepdog instead, as she doesnt reckon she could walk a newfie
Guest Electric Yetis Posted 10 August 2012 Posted 10 August 2012 We both really want a labrador, just need to find the best place to get one from. Don't want to get one from some randomer out of the paper. Any suggestions?

Any suggestions? Steal one from a blind person . seriously, the best way is probably from a registered dog breeder

Any suggestions? Mate at work just get his dog from this site, said it was good to use pets4homes.co.uk Or have a search on the net for your local rescue home, there's hundreds of dogs that need new homes
