davieG Posted 29 August 2012 Posted 29 August 2012 Sky Leicester's French winger Anthony Knockaert insists he is loving playing in England. The 20-year-old joined the Foxes this summer after moving from Guingamp - despite being linked with the likes of Montpellier and Newcastle. As a youngster he had a trial with Leeds United, and since then he insists he dreamed of playing in England. "During pre-season against Sunderland, it was wonderful. I have never played a match with so much speed in my life. It was amazing," he told L'Equipe. "Around me there were a lot of people that told me it was a bad decision to sign at Leicester. But I know I couldn't leave the chance. "Since I am teenager I have always dreamt about England. My objective is to make a name for myself in the Premier League one day, because it is the only league in the world where I want to play in once in my life. "What I love in England, it is the passion around Football." Knockaert scored his first goal in England earlier this week during Leicester's 4-2 Capital One Cup defeat to Burton Albion. 365 Leicester's French winger Anthony Knockaert insists he is loving life with the Foxes and says playing in England is a 'dream come true'.
RonnieTodger Posted 29 August 2012 Posted 29 August 2012 Think the lad could become a cult hero for us.
Guest Col city fan Posted 29 August 2012 Posted 29 August 2012 Good lad!!!! What a good signing he could turn out to be..
Kitchandro Posted 29 August 2012 Posted 29 August 2012 "Around me there were a lot of people that told me it was a bad decision to sign at Leicester. He's not mates with Yann is he? Aye, I'm glad he's not taken the Patrice Evra route and said England's a shithole
Craig Posted 29 August 2012 Posted 29 August 2012 The boy can do no wrong. Even when he cocks up his frustrated bunny hop and double fist pump turns my frown upside down.
wurmer Posted 29 August 2012 Posted 29 August 2012 Give it time - some on here will find a reason to knock him (no pun intended).
21st Century Fox Posted 29 August 2012 Posted 29 August 2012 "Around me there were a lot of people that told me it was a bad decision to sign at Leicester. But I know I couldn't leave the chance. So he's definitely friends with Yann then.
Guest Bilo Posted 29 August 2012 Posted 29 August 2012 Knockaert and Marshall on either wing could be deadly. Fair play to the lad, hope he becomes as good a signing as many expect.
ADK Posted 29 August 2012 Posted 29 August 2012 I guess it just goes to show, don't knock it till you've tried it.
Yojoe36 Posted 29 August 2012 Posted 29 August 2012 That's because we're massive, unlike West Brom. Yes Mattock, I'm looking at you.
EnderbyFox Posted 29 August 2012 Posted 29 August 2012 His celebration, when he scored on Tuesday was great
MPH Posted 30 August 2012 Posted 30 August 2012 "During pre-season against Sunderland, it was wonderful. I have never played a match with so much speed in my life. It was amazing," he told L'Equipe. Say no to drugs, Knocky!
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 30 August 2012 Posted 30 August 2012 Great kid, great attitude. You can see he's giving his all when he plays, hopefully he'll be getting plenty of league starts soon. Smart, quick, hard-working - I wouldn't be surprised if half of the assists on this season's highlights DVD are from him
Babylon Posted 30 August 2012 Posted 30 August 2012 If he thinks the Sunderland match was quick he might get a shock against Blackpool.
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 30 August 2012 Posted 30 August 2012 If we don't go up this season, then i'm sure he'll leave for bigger and better things.
