We only managed a 1-1 draw following heroics by the Polish 'keeper Jan Tomaszewski, who was labelled a clown by Brian Clough. We never made it to the finals. Almost 40 years later, on 15th October 2013, that could be the case again. If it is, I shall be hiding behind the sofa.

I'm happy for Iceland, and I'm rooting for them to qualify, but I wouldn't go so far as to celebrate. I'll certainly have a few beers with my friends from Ecuador if they qualify, but those chances are looking a bit more dicey now... but just as I type it, La Tri equalize! ¡Vamos!
