Harry Redknapp is a shock target for Leicester if boss Nigel Pearson does not keep the Foxes in the promotion frame.

Redknapp – sacked by Tottenham in June– has already been linked with Ipswich, where Paul Jewell is under pressure.

Leicester’s Thai owners are desperate for a return on their investment and Pearson’s position was looking precarious before his side beat high-flying Blackpool last weekend.

They are currently 10th in the Championship and will turn to Redknapp if their Premier League hopes falter, with Leeds chief and promotion specialist Neil Warnock as another possible option.

Redknapp would need a massive pay day to join a club he turned down a decade ago. He has been helping out at Bournemouth but has hinted he would up for challenge if the finances were in place.

lol

Boycott papers. Drivel.

He won't want to come to a club any further north than London, so a non-starter

The current owners have tried the big name route & failed, stability is the key to success this season

No need to change the manager, Pearson is starting to build something good I feel.

Wouldn't mind him coming in, got alot of respect for Redknapp, however i'd rather we stick with Pearson and hope in time sticking with Pearson proves to be the right decision.

Redknapp would certainly be a great replacement if things didn't work out with Pearson though - That's not saying I believe it would ever happen, lets be honest Redknapp could do alot better than Leicester.

What a joke by The People (copied by Mirror), its lifted straight from that moronic thread in this forum.

Spent 10's of millions at Spurs, couldn't do his job of finishing in CL cup places so was sacked.

Walked out on Portsmouth to get more money at S'ton

Got Southampton relegated, was sacked.

Went back to P'mouth, spent more than the entire GDP of some countries to win a solitary trophy & contributed to the fragile existence of the club

Most overrated manager of all time & all because he offers his opinion on other clubs employees (players) to SSN at all hours of the day & night.

Not to mention the Thai's couldnt afford his transfer kitty & required wage pot.

If they undo the good work NP's done by bringing in young hungry players who arent here just to boost their pension pot then they can **** off

Thank god it's just lifted from this forum

Spot on.

If we sacked Pearson and got him in I'd consider supporting Hinckley, it's just sealing our own fate.

It'll be typical Leicester that we'd go for him just after filling the team full of Pearson players.

Couldn't of summed it up any better

the mirror is usually reliable when it comes to Leicester

I was just about to say that, which gives it a bit of crediiblity. Still can't see it happening though, surely?
