I too believe he could be a 20 goal a season man but yet to prove it in this league.

Futacs and Schlupp are very young and will get better but both have shown a better attitude.

Putting the ball in the net is the area he has disappointed the most for us unfortunately. What pace he has is often made redundant by his first touch or his finishing which is a shame because his movement off the ball is often very good. When he has played so far this season he has looked no better than Waghorn which, considering his age, experience and alleged ability, is a worry for me.

Well he's never done anything to prove that he's any better than Waghorn and Futacs in the league he's in now, people keep saying he could be a 20 goal a season striker, well he had a full season and he didn't get anywhere close. In terms of value for money he is almost certainly worse than both of them.

But Waghorn has scored more goals in the championship than Beckford has.

It's pointless discussing past scoring history. Beckford has a grand total of about 17 goals above league 1 level. Granted he has some ability but can't we just accept that he may not ever do it for us!?

The challange has been set by Pearson, Beckfords days seem to be numbered. It's up to him to prove to his boss that its the wrong decision. Same goes with Danns.

Training with the U-21's doesn't mean they are frozen out totally. Waghorn played for them yesterday, he's still very much in the squad.

It might be a case of them playing for the reserves and forcing their way back in, as players have had to do previously.

Is there an attitude or behaviour that would be deserving of demotion from the senior squad? In my opinion yes. If they have behaved poorly or displayed an attitude not in keeping with a professional sportsman then their demotion would be deserved and without knowing what exactly has happened I don't see how people can defend Danns and Beckford and assume Pearson in the wrong and vice versa.

Maybe we should wait for the truth to out itself before pointing the finger of blame.

This is what makes this whole thread such a load of crap, we are being forced to side between the manager or 2 popular players, by fans stirring up the pot, there are no actual facts going on, and by defending one you are accused of hating the other.

Bert, if this whole Beckford training with the kids thing has anything to do with the Huddersfield deal, why was he in the squad and on the bench for Burnley, when the whole Huddersfield deal was old news.

If Beckford did do something untoward in that deal, then do you think he is right to be punished, or do you think it is harsh? Why has is taken so long to punish him?

They might be nice people, but if they don't react well to the above then that is poor attitude. A nice person can have a poor attitude towards certain things, doesn't mean they are awful people.
