The Year Of The Fox Posted 15 November 2012 Posted 15 November 2012 Best place imo is Division St/Devonshire St which are parallel to West St. Decent bars are The Forum, The Common Room, The Old House, Bungalows and Bears. (these places are a bit different in terms of atmosphere, beers etc but I like them) On West St you have bars like Varsity, Cavendish which are cheaper and more generic. There is also a place called The Wig and Pen which is nice that is near Varsity. Like someone has mentioned The Devenshire Cat is pretty good on wellington street, they have a shit load of different beers but it is a few mins walk away and on its own. Ultimately though it depends on what you are into etc. With regards to clubs imo DQ is the best night out in Sheffield on a Saturday. Cheers mate. The last time we went was a mates Birthday. He chose the club saying it was brilliant when in fact it was shit.
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 15 November 2012 Posted 15 November 2012 sold 2k so far according to the ticket office lady, should easily sell out our first allocation of 3k! that's decent. I'm sure we'll sell 3k. Do you think we'll get some of the lower too? We are Massive remember
Libertine Dream Posted 15 November 2012 Posted 15 November 2012 Hopefully Saturday will boost the numbers further
lestajigs Posted 15 November 2012 Posted 15 November 2012 So of there is only 1000 odd tickets left for gen sale, maybe we might get the lower tier too???
Voll Blau Posted 15 November 2012 Posted 15 November 2012 All the young lads I know rave about the Devonshire Cat. Bangin' boozer for anyone who's properly into their beer. So much choice. Loads of good pubs about though.
Tom17LCFC Posted 15 November 2012 Posted 15 November 2012 Great little place is the Cavendish, was out in Sheff last night. There was another top, top bar just off West St. but I don't have a clue what it was called. Top night out and can't wait to do it again in a week!
accessory Posted 15 November 2012 Posted 15 November 2012 How about a big Foxestalk pub meet up in the middle of sheffield? A few from here have been in the Devonshire Cat before. It's not far from the tram line, so wouldn't be the worst place to meet up..
Tommeh Posted 16 November 2012 Posted 16 November 2012 Solid day session this will be, can't say the Sheffield night out is anything to be excited about though, more PR wankers than people out especially on West St.
lovelcfc Posted 16 November 2012 Posted 16 November 2012 If I'm near the back am I less likely to sit? Sorry for bringing this up

SemperEadem Posted 16 November 2012 Posted 16 November 2012 Two tickets for this, shame I'm paying an adults price but hey ho.
muzzy1981 Posted 16 November 2012 Posted 16 November 2012 We are driving to this game. Anyone recommend somewhere to park so as to avoid all the apparently bad traffic around the ground. We are happy to walk for a while. Cheers
Unabomber Posted 16 November 2012 Posted 16 November 2012 Also I forgot to mention, the Sheffield Tap is well worth a visit. It is right next to the train station and they have some great beers, I had probably the best pint of Jaipur there
Maybes Posted 16 November 2012 Posted 16 November 2012 We are driving to this game. Anyone recommend somewhere to park so as to avoid all the apparently bad traffic around the ground. We are happy to walk for a while. Cheers There are a few streets about a 10/15 minute walk from the ground if you're lucky.
Leicesterpool Posted 16 November 2012 Posted 16 November 2012 There's a quite a few weetherspoons to choose from in sheffield
ousefox Posted 16 November 2012 Posted 16 November 2012 Anybody know how easy it is to get to the stadium from the station through public transport/walking? Did this a few years ago but got a lift from the station, remember it being a while away though.
Father Ted Posted 16 November 2012 Posted 16 November 2012 Anybody know how easy it is to get to the stadium from the station through public transport/walking? Did this a few years ago but got a lift from the station, remember it being a while away though. Just been reading it up and the tram goes straight to the ground via the city centre. I'm pretty sure this is right as I did this when I went to visit Sheffield Uni and if I carried on, it would have continued to Hillsborough.

Although remember being pelted with stones by chavs when we went to the Don Valley for the cup game!
