Spudulike Posted 22 October 2012 Posted 22 October 2012 Will I be chucked out if I start throwing shredded newspaper in the air when the teams come out against Palace on saturday ?? Not sure if it's against H&S rules nowadays or seen as a fire hazard or littering ?? We used to be good at it back in the Filbo days but don't do it anymore. It would be brilliant if we brought that tradition back.
purpleronnie Posted 22 October 2012 Posted 22 October 2012 probably would I'm afraid, much better to organise something for away trips but no-one will so.....
Unabomber Posted 22 October 2012 Posted 22 October 2012 Saw people do it a few times last season with no trouble so you should be ok.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 22 October 2012 Posted 22 October 2012 Surely not. If you get any hassle just lie and say you emailed the club and were granted permission.
jonthefox Posted 22 October 2012 Posted 22 October 2012 A few kids do it in the family stand. I reckon i'll get my young un to do it tomorrow.
Leicester_Numan Posted 22 October 2012 Posted 22 October 2012 First issue of the sporting green was a good one. Made more sense when they changed it to blue though. Let's all use the Daily Fail, it's all it's good for
Webbo Posted 22 October 2012 Posted 22 October 2012 Used to be very popular during the O'Neill years, I wonder why it stopped?
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 22 October 2012 Posted 22 October 2012 I regularly bring it, will defo be allowed to use it mate
Kitchandro Posted 22 October 2012 Posted 22 October 2012 Definitely should bring this back for big games, looks fantastic, as do balloons, don't know if you'll be told off for them but I had some at Chelsea and no one was bothered (I would blow them up inside the ground though). Probably needs more than one person to do it for it to have an effect though, otherwise you're just some nutter chucking stuff at people

Corky Posted 22 October 2012 Posted 22 October 2012 Used to be very popular during the O'Neill years, I wonder why it stopped? People don't buy papers no more.
Vlad the Fox Posted 22 October 2012 Posted 22 October 2012 Used to be great with all the ticker tape and balloons. I used to always take a rolled up newspaper with me. Should definitely get it going again. Probably died out when taylor ruined us.
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 22 October 2012 Posted 22 October 2012 I tried to get my hands on some blue paper at Cardiff Tesco before the playoff semi and they didn't have any! Conspiracy, I tell you.
whoareyaaa Posted 22 October 2012 Posted 22 October 2012 This old women always used to bring a big carrier bag full of the stuff down Filbo every game for about 5 years untill I eventually moved seats. she would hand it out to everyone although five minutes later people would still be cleaning themself's down from the carange.
jonthefox Posted 22 October 2012 Posted 22 October 2012 http://www.fox-photo...storm_p152.html This one? Thats the one. Looks amazing.
C-man Posted 22 October 2012 Posted 22 October 2012 When I first read the question I thought it was a wind up. I then thought about it and oh so sadly it's a fair query nowadays. Should be fine though, surely. Wouldn't surprise me if a bog roll got you lobbed out, though.
promised land Posted 22 October 2012 Posted 22 October 2012 Crepe paper works best cut into inch size strips, Paper tiger sell it in blue and white and its about a quid for a large sheet of it, that will last for ages. I sometimes take it to away games if I can be bothered to spend 5 minutes cutting it up before hand. Someone at Moulinex kept blowing into his carrier bag of it before throwing it up, not sure why but to get a bit of air around the bits to spread more maybe. I'm not sure.
Babylon Posted 22 October 2012 Posted 22 October 2012 Bring back the sporting blue/green so we can rip it to bits before the game and lob it. Used to love it as a kid!!
Guest Col city fan Posted 22 October 2012 Posted 22 October 2012 The best one I ever saw ( outside of Wembley) was that famous away trip to the old Ewood Park (where Rooster ran in on goal)... The away support and atmos that day was something special and never forgotten. We were soaked in blue and white..

Guest Col city fan Posted 22 October 2012 Posted 22 October 2012 Oh the memories mate"he's got no hair and we don't care........" Me and mi mates drove up in my old Mark 2 Escort Estate. Fook knows how it made it... But it were sure worth it. And the drive home listening to the aftermatch report on the crackly radio was highly memorable. Stuart Hall coming out with: 'The Leicester Fans, ticker tape and all... Serendipity.....'
