DanTheFox07 Posted 3 November 2012 Posted 3 November 2012 I fear the pearson Hater`s will be making a comeback after this, but at the moment I believe we are suffering from not having st ledger fit! for all the fuss about witbread, he seem`s to be very clumsy! cost us a penalty already, bit of a clown! so I think pearson should be looking for a centreback on loan aswell as a striker as we look lightweight upfront!
Cropwellfox Posted 3 November 2012 Posted 3 November 2012 I would take a point at Bolton it will be a tough game but we have to beat the F****t bastards no doubt about that. Just can't understand how Bolton have been so average this season with their squad (mills excepted) - a point there would be a cracking result after their result tonight. They'll be in the top six at the end of the season (what price v Crystal palace in playoffs !!)
PAULCFC Posted 3 November 2012 Posted 3 November 2012 Ngog was actually good for once when he came on, so maybe him being sent off is a good thing. [ Nullify Knockhert and Drinkwater, and we're a piece of piss too roll over.......I think we've been sussed! /quote]
Happy Fox Posted 3 November 2012 Posted 3 November 2012 A striker on loan who is around that could do the job? Chris Wood from WBA will be available soon his loan expires with Millwall within the next week or so.
Tielemans63 Posted 3 November 2012 Posted 3 November 2012 Hopefully Vardy is fit and ready and will be drafted back in. His goal-scoring record might not be amazing but I thought JV and Nuge were building a useful partnership.

Not sure when his loan is up but millwall are going to try and sign him permanently.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 3 November 2012 Posted 3 November 2012 Just got back from the match. Sadly we were never in it, and Watford deserved their win. I thought we were poor defensively, and need an addition in that de[artment, plus of course that elusive striker. No real need to panic as we were not the only top team to lose, and we still remain second. However we need to be far more assertive next week. It looks as though this season is going to be a real scrap, as no side is dominating so far. We have had a good run, and hopefully can pick up again..
inckley fox Posted 3 November 2012 Posted 3 November 2012 Careful, you'll be accused of being a negativist. Or even a Pearson hater! And I was a Pearson Bummer a few weeks back... I hope that he, at least, is concerned that all the sides above us have scored more goals than we have. I agreed with most of his post match comments this time, but I'm not sure he's right to say we've been 'excellent' this season: Fourth position, unless it leads to winning the play-offs, wouldn't be good enough this time. Early days though. He's right about that.
dedlock Posted 3 November 2012 Posted 3 November 2012 Today, Knockaert was not effective but he was not nullified by Watford, rather he was frustrated by running into blind alleys. A flair player like him also requires a rub of the green. The ball did not stick to his feet as it has.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 3 November 2012 Posted 3 November 2012 In Football there are always bogey teams/grounds, bad performances, freak results etc etc Far from think we are at panic stations and yes there are areas that need improving but the overreaction is not warranted! A F***t fan I work with said yesterday Millwall have the hoodoo over them in recent years and his concern came true....walloped. The league is tough and NP will sort this blip out I'm sure.
fleckneymike Posted 3 November 2012 Posted 3 November 2012 I'm on shitty east mids wifi so can't be bothered to trawl through 7 pages. That was just a bit shit. No attempt to play football for the first 30 minutes, Liam Moore was shocking, subs were 'interesting' to say the least. It's like we've reverted to last seasons running around and kicking it away style. Not impressed, and not were hundreds around me when Knocky was hooked off.

I always thought this division was gonna be massively tough this season. Nothing has changed my opinion on that.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 3 November 2012 Posted 3 November 2012 Absolutely embarrassing, 4 shots all game with only 1 on target. They weren't nothing special either.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 3 November 2012 Posted 3 November 2012 I always thought this division was gonna be massively tough this season. Nothing has changed my opinion on that. Yeah let's not forget the form team people are lauding about on SSN etc..... Boro, we went up to heir place a few weeks back and got 3 points.....are people forgetting that sort of result already? It will happen throughout the season no doubt...I actually think this season the top 2 teams will have the lowest points haul ever since 3 points for win introduced! Kneejerk reactions Foxes Talk at its best

It shows how close it all is.
marbelladave Posted 3 November 2012 Posted 3 November 2012 Spent the day stripping wallpaper and painting, no radio, TV or internet. Sad to say my dongle doesn't work....... Interesting team selection, on paper at least, one that I have suggested before now, though it probably helps if the coach (manager?) and his players know how to play in the way we set up....... I know we are still 4th but I get the impression that many on here feel that we are dropping off the pace, and given my comments of recent weeks I don't entirely disagree. I feel that we are half way to being a very good side, with the biggest issue being with our front 4. For whatever reason, we do not seem capable of getting the best from our forward players, I think that we have loads of talent in forward areas, but as is typified by the recent collapse in form of Knockaert, we simply are not making it happen........
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 3 November 2012 Posted 3 November 2012 but in terms of all this "we need a goalscorer" claims - We have scored in EVERY game. We do need a striker, not creating chances enough, had 4 shots today.

I thought Moore grew into the game as it went on. Although shouldn't deflect from a poor performance today. The midfield trio in the centre was the biggest disappointment for me. I couldn't believe how Watford were able to carve us open through the middle in the way that they did.

Moore was so slow to release the ball, Drinkwater kept chasing a poor first touch, Marshall was inept, James dull and we spent too much time knocking it long.
marbelladave Posted 3 November 2012 Posted 3 November 2012 Dave... Wasn't today's formation and team exactly what you've been crying out for? Certainly was Col........ (Well one option anyway) Not seeing the game makes it difficult to comment, did we play it effectively, seems not, but I really haven't a clue. One point that I have been making in recent times is the perceived (by me anyway) lack of coaching expertise, look at the evidence, giving away soft goals in defence, poor attacking set pieces and floated crosses to forwards known to be fairly ineffective in the air....... I'm beginning to think that we, as a squad, are somewhat uncomfortable stepping away from 4-4-2, despite the obvious limitations we have shown setting up in this way, we actually seem less effective setting up in any other way. Not meant as a dig at Pearson, but maybe we need some more effective coaches.......
Bluetintedspecs Posted 3 November 2012 Posted 3 November 2012 Moore was so slow to release the ball, Drinkwater kept chasing a poor first touch, Marshall was inept, James dull and we spent too much time knocking it long. Wasn't at game today Mike so can't talk with authority of someone there like you. Stringer & Youngy commentary made it sound like after first 20-25 mins we improved was a little unlucky with a couple of penno shouts and we could have been caught going for it in second half... So were we really that bad in your opinion or are you venting because you're understandably disappointed?
Corky Posted 3 November 2012 Posted 3 November 2012 What a crap day, compounded by several things. The performance firstly- not good enough. We had one outstanding player in Schmeichel, one decent player in Nugent, Morgan and Konchesky did ok, but the rest were below par or poor. You can't afford seven players off the pace, against a limited but spirited Watford team. For half an hour we barely got out of our half, and even late on we failed to create significant pressure. Not good enough all round and although it's had its critics, we've been at our most threatening this season as a 4-4-2. The officials were just dreadful, collectively, but the linesman near the away fans was the worst. Couldn't wait to get the flag up in the second half, didn't bother when our players were fouled and ignored two offsides in the first half. Added to the fact he was stood over the corner area and still allowed the Watford player to place the ball outside the quadrant, it was just bad. Our fans- Whether it was getting on the players' backs from kick-off, to arguing about standing/sitting, it was a poor day from our fans. Too many were too quick to get at the team, people wanting to stand in front of people wanting to sit (and nearly coming to blows over it), fans in wrong seats, too many in certain rows- just a difficult and unhelpful atmosphere. Altogether it was shit.
