Kitchandro Posted 2 April 2013 Posted 2 April 2013 In what way? In the way he comes from a very selfish and narrow minded viewpoint. He talks about how it will be more exciting for him watching the top teams on the telly, with no consideration for how it would affect the smaller clubs. How would we feel if Rangers took the second automatic place or the last play-off place, instead of us, for example? What if Celtic finished just above the relegation zone instead of us? Or knocked us out of the cup? I'd find it unacceptable. Not to mention how they'd have the extra clout to attract all the best players because they'd be playing against Man Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool instead of Hearts, Hibs and Motherwell.
Leicesterpool Posted 2 April 2013 Author Posted 2 April 2013 Doesn't seem fair putting them straight in the championship, i've already spoke to a couple of Rangers fans and there happy to start off in the english non league.
Ross-Kemp Posted 2 April 2013 Posted 2 April 2013 Would be more than happy as a 'gers fan to start off in non-league.
RedHux Posted 2 April 2013 Posted 2 April 2013 Would be more than happy as a 'gers fan to start off in non-league. Be a bit of a step up from where they are now anyway.
Leicesterpool Posted 2 April 2013 Author Posted 2 April 2013 Plus you might enjoy some away non league trips
Finnegan Posted 2 April 2013 Posted 2 April 2013 Be a bit of a step up from where they are now anyway. lol
MrSpaM Posted 2 April 2013 Posted 2 April 2013 If they both start in the conference and work their way up they are welcome to try
Uncle Albert Posted 4 April 2013 Posted 4 April 2013 If both start from the Blue Square then fair enough, it's just the same as letting Cardiff and Swansea in the Football League.
Webbo Posted 4 April 2013 Posted 4 April 2013 Cameron looking to help Old Firm into The Championship in ploy for Scottish independence votes. http://www.mirror.co...n-backs-1794754 It's probably made up bullshit but if it's not he should mind his own business. As long as nothing illegal is going on it's none of his business how football is run.
Bayfox Posted 4 April 2013 Posted 4 April 2013 Would kill Scottish football. I'm not sure it would. I'm not for the idea of them joining the english system, infact I'd love to kick Cardiff, Swansea and Wrexham out. However if they are willing to start at say Non-League and work the way up maybe. Although can we have the extra champions league place!!! But as for it killing Scottish football, scottish football is all but dead anyway, Celtic will have to qualify for the champions league next year, as the ranking for scottish clubs is getting worse and worse, bet they thought of that when they relegated rangers. So you could argue without Rangers and Celtic it will kill any hope of european football, however maybe scottish football could be become realistic, it would leave the other teams on a more level playing field, if they introduced salary caps and some sort of american style draft system for scottish youngsters, they could have a competitive league and help the national side by giving kids games. Ok the standard may not be great but let's be honest the only games people want to see are the old firm and now they don't have that, that's why they have no sponsor for next season and have had to doctor the tv contract to still include rangers.
iamafox Posted 5 April 2013 Posted 5 April 2013 The SPL is crap because as long as Celtic and Rangers are in it, they'll keep winning it. They win the majority of their SPL games and the only times they play more challenging matches is when they are in the European competitions. So how about having the SFA and FA to agree with drafting the two teams into the English leagues? Then the SPL wouldn't be crap anymore would it? Teams like Hearts, Hibs, Dundee Utd and Aberdeen wouldn't have to be in their shadows for a change.
purpleronnie Posted 30 April 2013 Posted 30 April 2013 This is what happend when the old firm met for a youth game yesterday:- http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/celtic-rangers-old-firm-under-17-1860750
Floating Fox Posted 30 April 2013 Posted 30 April 2013 Pretty shamefull. Trashing another clubs ground!
Guest MattP Posted 30 April 2013 Posted 30 April 2013 This is what happend when the old firm met for a youth game yesterday:- http://www.dailyreco...nder-17-1860750 Not to mention the sick fcukers singing sons about the Ibrox disaster. Scum. Well done to the baby bears mind, excellent win, future is bright.

Guest MattP Posted 2 May 2013 Posted 2 May 2013 Its not one way though matt, rangers have been done for sectarian songs this season. Of course, watch the BBC and you wouldn't think so though. Noticed how whenever Celtic cause problems it's 'trouble at auld firm games' and when it's Rangers they will make sure you know who it is.
Guest Bilo Posted 2 May 2013 Posted 2 May 2013 Rangers arguably sing more sectarian songs than Celtic. I agree that singing songs about the IRA, the Falklands and the Ibrox Disaster are scummy as fvck but so too are songs about the Irish famine and Billy Boys.
leicsmac Posted 2 May 2013 Posted 2 May 2013 Both sides have their scumbags. Both think the other 'started' it. A recipe dished up and repeated ad nauseum around the world. Can't we just give them their own league and they can bitch at each other to their own satisfaction without bothering the rest of us?

Arguble would be an understatement for a point of view Rangers sing more sect songs than Celtic. Least Rangers are in their own country doing mind.
Vacamion Posted 2 May 2013 Posted 2 May 2013 This is what happend when the old firm met for a youth game yesterday:- http://www.dailyreco...nder-17-1860750 I've posted this elsewhere, but the absence of senior old firm games has made Glasgow a much nicer place to live this year. http://www.scotsman.com/scotland-on-sunday/old-firm-absence-leads-to-drop-in-domestic-violence-1-2841538 http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/scotland/8376041/Revealed-full-scale-of-Old-Firm-football-madness.html The youth match this week just happened to be the first time in a year that the nutcases had the chance to show the full extent of their bile and bigotry. On both sides. Frankly, I'd rather that Rangers and Celtic never met ever again at a senior level and those fans who want to hate each other just fvcked off to a field somewhere and worked out their differences with their fists and have done with it. Now that Charles Green has left Rangers in disgrace, his grand plan to apply to play in England's lower levels (to spite the rest of Scottish football for relegating them) has fallen by the wayside. Of course, all of this means its even less likely than it was before (and it was always very unlikely) that either of the old firm will go South. English Chief Constables can cross this off their lists of potential problems.
