TrentFox Posted 8 November 2012 Posted 8 November 2012 Matthew Bates has been released by boro might be worth a punt seing as we lack defensive options http://www.bbc.co.uk...otball/20252698 What crime did he commit ?? Failure to wear a shell-suit in the high street during daylight hours ??
matt93 Posted 8 November 2012 Posted 8 November 2012 Do you think Leicester need any new players in Jan or are the players we have good enough to get us promoted this season???
Dan Posted 8 November 2012 Posted 8 November 2012 The priority for me is without a doubt a centre forward who can score headers, not someone to lump the ball up to but quite simply someone who'll get on the end of these crosses and make us a stronger aerial threat, it seems pretty clear to me Futacs isn't rated by the coaching staff. Lingard/Keane if they're good enough wouldn't be bad for extensions. That would about see us through IMO.
Danno Posted 8 November 2012 Posted 8 November 2012 A proper winger, Stanislas maybe, Goalscoring centre forward, and a Defensive midfielder
Happy Fox Posted 8 November 2012 Posted 8 November 2012 Just a striker that can hit the back of the net consistently.
Leicester_Numan Posted 8 November 2012 Posted 8 November 2012 I thought this was gonna be about Ken Bates taking us over. Yeah, with Leeds about to taken over I thought it was going to be about Ken Bates as well
Corky Posted 8 November 2012 Posted 8 November 2012 I thought this was gonna be about Ken Bates taking us over. I couldn't imagine the complaints about ticket prices.
AKCJ Posted 8 November 2012 Posted 8 November 2012 He's fit now? Give him a pay as you play deal and it'd be like a loan signing.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 8 November 2012 Posted 8 November 2012 Decent players are rarely for sale in January. That is all.
NewburyFox Posted 8 November 2012 Posted 8 November 2012 He's fit now? Give him a pay as you play deal and it'd be like a loan signing. Middlesbrough offered him that, and he turned them down. I would love to have him here, he's built up his fitness again and was going to leave Middlesbrough this summer for a Premier League club, only to pick up this injury. I doubt a PL club would give him a chance currently so I'd say it's worth giving him a chance. He's a quality CB when fit (key words, I know) and would fit in very well along side Wes.
Guest Col city fan Posted 8 November 2012 Posted 8 November 2012 Rather have Norman.... In his dead mothers clothing even..
flowwolf Posted 9 November 2012 Posted 9 November 2012 Where were we with those brilliant ambitious players? Keep drumming that drum. Yes and why your at it Seenitall go on to tell us the fame and glory that those ambitious players have gone on to ? Mills is still shit and Peltier is still a liabilty and both are still at this level. And the rest ?
Carl the Llama Posted 9 November 2012 Posted 9 November 2012 seenitall really is a monstrous bellend. I like to think of Seenitall as the Jedward of Foxestalk, bringing us all together despite our differences via the medium of speechless astonishment. And hatred.
indierich06 Posted 9 November 2012 Posted 9 November 2012 Anyone that disagrees even slightly with your very blinkered black and white view of the world is a troll ..... Why bother coming on a forum, a place to exchange views, if everyone that doesn't agree with you is a troll?? Chill out for goodness sake and stop being so aggressive. People who talk absolute bollocks should expect to be called up on it. I'm happy for people to disagree with me, but when they start talking absolutely baseless shit, then I take issue with it. Like the stuff you said yesterday about us having 'only one fit centre back' - I'm sorry, but that's just absolute bollocks. If you don't rate our other options, that's fine - you post that and I'll respectfully disagree and we can have a decent debate about our CB options, but when you start coming out with absolute rubbish then I'm gonna call you on it. Saying we've got one fit centre back when we've got about 5 is not an opinion, it's just wrong. Saying you don't rate them is fine by me, just don't talk out of your arse. I'm not a blind Pearson follower - I'm well aware of his faults, but some people on here (not saying it's you - mostly posters like seenitall; based on the fact that he lives in France, he's probably seen****all this season) just use absolutely anything to criticise the players and the manager at this club. Blindly hating the management is just as bad as blindly following it.

Dan Posted 9 November 2012 Posted 9 November 2012 Matthew Bates? Somehow I don't think we're gonna attempt to sign a player who's been released for his fitness issues by a club that has Woodgate in the same position.

Saying two different things, one minute he wants experience but now he says it doesn't matter what age they are if they are good enough. He deserves to sacked. Harry Redknapp or Dan Petrescu next please.

He's not saying two different things, makes perfect sense to me. He's said exactly what I said a few days ago.... did I ever say my first name is Nigel? **It's not really.
