Best 10?

Ok this question may have been asked before but just interested to know, Whoes are your top 10 favourite players to wear the Leicester Shirt?

Mine(In Order):

1) Muzzy Izzet - Legend full stop.

2) Emile Heskey - 1 of the best strikers to ever play for us. Gave us money out of his own pocket to help us out of administration. True Legend.

3) Gary Lineker - Different type of striker but the same as Heskey. Cares about the club.

4) Andy King - Not in the same bracket as these yet but I really like his attitude and him as a player..Hopefully he will be here for years and lead his home club in the EPL.

5) Neil Lennon - For me the best player to ever play for us. We were never the same without him.

6) Matt Elliot - The best centre back to ever play for the Foxes bar none. Top Gentleman as well.

7) Steve Walsh - Quality CB and still envolved with the club. Derby always be remembered.

8) Gerry Taggart - The 3rd of the quality Centre Backs we have had. Loyal and even in the twilight of his career gets us back up to the EPL. Him and Elliot in 02-03 both were far too good for the Div 1 and this was far after both their peaks. Summs it up.

9) Steve Claridge - Dont like him as a bloke and think he chats a load of rubbish as a pundit but for those 2 moments we all know, he has to be respected somewhat.

10) Lloyd Dyer - People may raise eyebrows, but what hes done for this club is brilliant. Hes been loyal through are worse time, has took alot of stick and still gets on with it. Hes never let us down and I predict he will be part of a LCFC EPL team in the near future. Top bloke.

Obviously majority of those are from MON era. But that's the era where the best times arose while I was supporting the club. I'd love to put players like Lineker, Shilton, Banks, Roberts, Joachim, Welller, Worthingon but truth is, I never saw them play.

Other than the top 4 in my list, the rest can go in any order.

I missed the MON era, so the following list will probably make some of you feel sick.

1. Tim Flowers

2. Paul Dickov

3. Martyn Waghorn

4. Andy King

5. Matt Elliott (Would be higher I imagine, if I'd seen him during the glory days)

6. Muzzy Izzett (Would be higher I imagine, if I'd seen him during the glory days)

7. Jack Hobbs

8. Matty Fryatt

9. Wes Morgan (Will be higher)

10. Steve Howard

I have to add it's no particular order. Ormondroyd would be number one otherwise.

There are players that I prefer now looking back, but at the time, these were my favourite players

1) Frank Sinclair

2) Heskey

3) Izzet

4) King

5) Fryatt

6) Jordan Stewart

7) Stearman

8) Gradel

9) Schlupp

10) Hume

Still so many more I could choose mainly from the MON team and the current bunch but I also loved people like Gareth Williams, Scowy, Kyle Naughton and Tommy Wright (the most recent one)

I'd also have to stick Levi Porter in the mix. Watching him against Inter and then tearing Chelsea a new one in the cup were big highlights.

Matt Elliott

Gerry Taggart

Kasey Keller

Muzzy Izzet

Neil Lennon

Steve Guppy

Steve Howard

Andy King

Lloyd Dyer

Emile Heskey

No particular order and I'm sure I've missed a few out, pretty difficult to keep it down to 10

From my era so 1998-present

1.Iain Hume - Absolutely loved the guy, purely because he used to score some crackers

2.Muzzy Izzet - Ultimate Leicester legend

3.Emile Heskey - Was incredible when we had him, shame he now counts as a laughing stock

4.Stefan Oakes - God knows why, probably because for some reason he was the first player I had on the back of a Leicester shirt

5.Sean St Ledger - Underrated, love the way he plays

6.Miguel Vitor - My favourite loan signing, class above can only dream of a Vitor return

7.Steve Guppy - Very underrated winger, great crosser of a ball

8.Bruno Berner - Who could not love Bruno Berner, one of my favourite Leicester players of the last five years

9.Joey Gudjonsson - One of our best players, in a fairly shit side

10.Wes Morgan - Will become a legend at this club, could be our best defender since Elliott and Taggart

Honorable mentions to Arnar Gunnlaugsson, Kyle Naughton, Kasper Schmeichel, Matt Piper and Dion Dublin

Posted

Since I've been supporting us:

1) Heskey

2) Izzet

3) Walsh

4) Lennon

5) Elliott

6) Berner

7) Wellens (no I'm not joking lol )

8) Nugent

9) Gally (also not joking lol )

10) Bamba

But because I didn't go to many games until I was about 15 and was raised by 90s seasons reviews and various other City footage; there are others who I probably view as more heroic than some of those, like Iwan Roberts, Steve Thompson, Gary Mills, Keith Weller, Kevin Russell, Simon Grayson, Tommy Wright, etc.

I would probably have to go with:

Roberts, Joachim, Skippy, Tags, Sav, Keller, Heskey, Elliot, Pontus and Theo.

Great shout, forgotten about him. Loved Zagorakis, I remember when he had to go in goal for us once haha
