Danno Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 To be fair we were doing well until the goal, then the uncompetent useless officials had to delay the game for ages which flattened the atmosphere and tempo. Sack the tossers
Fez of Mahrez Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 That's a good point... It's just as bad when we draw sometimes!
Mack Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 Bad day at the office. Went one up and went to sleep. No team is perfect, put it down to experience, delete it from the memory and move on. We got a point in the end, last season we would have got **** all.
cc_star Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 I am stunned that you have included Andy King in the same sentence as paul Scholes You just did too. Stunned. My key words were "in that respect" As in - that aspect of his game... I didn't say his all round game or his ability were like Scholes
1964FOX Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 should be ok then, cos we didn't lose... the first barnsley goal was one of the most unprofessional peices of complacent play I have seen in a very long time, thats when the rot really set in. I hope these 2 points lost don't comeback to haunt us. Anybody see knockart sprinting through the crowds away from the stadium staight after the game? I thought some coppers were after him. My wife saw Knockart running along Aylestone Road and I told her she was bonkers, guess she was right seeing as you have corroborated what she saw.
dayday Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 It was no surprise Andy King went into hiding as soon as they got a bit physical with us,Millwall will be no different next week and in games like this he is the weak link. Easy to say after the game i know...yet the majority of you would probably agree.
Captain... Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 Can't be arsed t read all the guff, but I can imagine what has been said, my summary: Great start and end to an otherwise frustrating game. The ref pissed me off, he wasn't biased just crap never giving any of the numerous niggly fouls that plagued the game, he let us off with plenty of fouls, but it was always going to favour Barnsley and their more physical approach. We should have had enough to see them off, but were guilty of switching off after going ahead, not for the first time this season Derby and Brighton spring to mind, we need to start playing for the whole 90 minutes. I don't think any really played badly, but we let Barnsley knock us off our game, and made too many silly mistakes, including both their goals. We were much better in the second half, Marshall, Vardy and Futacs all came on and made a big impact, and how King didn't score today I will never know. It is not all doom and gloom, and I do think we will make automatics if we just cut out the silly errors, we also need someone on the pitch to get the boys going again when we start drfting off. We needed a Walsh to berate them, a Sav to get everyone going by running round like a blue arsed fly, just someone to give the team and fans a lift. Anyway, I'm sure people are going to use this result as another portent of doom, but we have plenty of chances to put this right in the coming weeks.

Ran down a side street roughly level with the Tigers ground and jumped into some car. Thought it was him at the time as he was dressed in the official Puma gear. Very strange place to park...
Bugg Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 This is what I would play for Millwall. Schmeichel De Laet, Whitbread, Morgan, Konchesky James Drinkwater, King Waghorn, Nugent, Dyer Unfortunately I think if we don't play three in midfield we will get overpowered again, Millwall are incredibly physical and they will get stuck in at every opportunity. Pretty much the same team there for me, 3 in midfield is certainly a must for a game like this.
shade Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 more extreme views on this forum than 1940s germany. we played okay today against a side that defended reasonably well, rode their luck and stopped a few certain goals. a couple of human errors and they grabbed a 2-2 draw with 10 men behind the ball. it's not the end of the world, the atmosphere wasn't 'sh*t' and we had no right to destroy them.

Daz Woolley Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 Im Just gutted for one of my best mates James Adcock the referee who deserved such a great appointment and to only last 8 minutes is a nightmare
Captain... Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 can't be arsed to read this guff, far too long.. will just guess it.. Fair enough, I only put that in case I was just repeating what had been said. I read the first couple of pages and assumed it carried on in that vein.
Kitchandro Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 Im Just gutted for one of my best mates James Adcock the referee who deserved such a great appointment and to only last 8 minutes is a nightmare Your mate was the ref? You should have told us pre-match. Preferably in a new thread.
Corky Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 Poor performance really, got the early goal and then decided to ease off for some reason, bad goals to give away and we were chasing the game in the second half. Managed to nick a point and could've won it several times after that but it wasn't to be. Need to put it behind us and move on to next week. We will have these games and it's how we respond that is crucial. I think we'll play better against Cardiff, and we can win at Millwall. But improvements are necessary because it's two points dropped.
Tielemans63 Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 Thought we were going to win comfortably when we scored earlier. Sadly it seems the players did the same. We didn't work hard enough for it today which is unusual for this side. We were horribly complacent on the first half - hopefully this match will prove to be a kick up the arse for some of the players. I thought we switched to panic mode way to earlier too
inckley fox Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 I'm not convinced anyone needs dropping yet... but if I were Pearson I'd be wondering whether any two out of Knockaert-Marshall-Dyer can do the business on the wings regularly enough. I'd also be keeping a close eye on Konchesky, De Laet and King, especially with January fast approaching. For me the full backs are shaky and King has been sussed as a weak link in the physical encounter. Would like to add that I don't think these need moving out (with the possible exception of Konchesky); just reassessing. The forwards, for me, suffer from a lack of service and are no major concern.

dbt_lcfc Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 When ever we come up against teams with 3 players playing centre mid we look awful..... today was no different, played head tennis/ hoofball from the 5th minute till the end with Nuge not really winning anything in the air and waggy seemingly unable to jump off the floor as all he constantly does is back in to the player, so with all that in mind why it took till the 75th minute to get futacs on was unbelievable, as soon as he came on things started to happen unsurprising really as there was someone on the end of the constant hooooof
Corky Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 1)To the ***** sitting around me, yes, Kasper made mistakes today, but how many times has he saved us in the past, and NO, Conrad Logan should not be No.1 so please shut the **** up. I reckon it was him who contacted Radio Leicester after the game. Convinced me to switch over to another station. Clueless.

Guest Col city fan Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 Totall agree with that critique. Oi! You don't get off that bloody lightly... 7-0 you said...
Happy Fox Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 Very poor performance we didn't seem to get going to the final 10 minutes of the game after going one nil up I expected the team to push on but we sat back and invited the Barnsley pressure, we need to do better winning at Millwall is a must now likewise against Cardiff.
