Guest Bilo Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 2-2. Got out of jail with late goals at Selhurst and from Vardy. Cardiff at home becomes a very big game if we aren't to be overhauled by Boro and/or Hull. Disappointing, but not the disaster it looked at 4:40.
Kitchandro Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 Poor result, I should be relieved to get a draw but honestly I'm very annoyed at us. We've let them back into the game when we were in control and didnt sound as if we put them under enough pressure in the second half, it sounded really pathetic until stoppage time. This is the kind of match that seperates automatic promotion teams from play off teams. A big 2 points dropped, fortunately Blackpool got a last minute equaliser. We need to be much more professional, and we'll talk about spirit but frankly we didn't sound like we were showing any until too late. Some of these players need a big kick up the arse.
Merging Cultures Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 As City fans we are going to be screaming that it is all over, terrible, awful, not good enough. I didn't get to watch the game, obviously, but let's take the positives. Vardy comes on and scores. Knockaert put one away early on. We are only 4 points off automatic. Realistically, at the beginning of the season I don't think we could have thought we are in such a good position.
cc_star Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 We're a good team when we up the work-rate, get in opposition's faces, pressing high up the pitch & attacking with tempo. On the occasions we lack those aspects we don't win. People on here then always pick fault with an individual, but it's always the team. We're not going to win them all & there's a long way to go... Teams like Forest & Leeds will be spending big in January whereas we spent all our money under the previous management. Next week's game against Cardiff will let us know if we're a play-off challenging side or if we do have a hope of challenging for top 2 But the way many Foxtalker's go-on you'd think we have a right to be at the top of the league, despite being an average or rubbish side for most of the past 10 years.

What was ok for you by the start of the season should have changed completely, as we are up there fighting for promotion and should of course expect the team to put in a relevant performance EVERYTIME. That is what they are handsomely paid for and again and again they fail to deliver. I am sorry but I deeply disagree with your defensive argumentation. Look if we are a force to be reckoned with then some games should be "put away" - if not easliy then by hard work. I do regard this match as one of the ones to be "put away". In my opinion it is just not good enough. It seems to be a matter of attitude more than anything else. This happens time and time again for us and is becoming soooo frustrating. Matt Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 ****ing referee! Cost us 2 points, penalties turned down, free kicks turned down! Twat. Atleast we salvaged 1 point though!
sdb Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 People forgetting we have Millwall away next? Next few fixtures are about as tough as they get in this league.
inckley fox Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 Just got in. Having the rare pleasure of listening to Radio Leicester. My God.

A surprisingly poor performance against a team that will struggle to avoid relegation. I was happy to see us pushing for the equaliser though as other teams under previous managers would have capitulated. I thought their keeper, Steele, was excellent and made some super saves. However, anyone being honest would say that was a game we expected to win and we go into a difficult run of fixtures now with all to play for.
theessexfox Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 The next few fixtures are tough... and this one was meant to be the safe one, the easy one, the banker... Oh dear.
AKCJ Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 Can't even beat fùcking Barnsley! You say it like we can't be anyone. Teams have off days, today we had one. It's not like we're 5th for no reason. Lets stay positive and go out and beat Millwall next week.
Aus Fox Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 Some of the disrespect shown to opposition sides is disgraceful from some city fans, we are in one of the hardest divisions to get out of and there are no easy games. The level we have played at times this season has been the best for years, it's not possible to play at that level for 46 games and there will be times when we drop, and teams will take advantage. The moaners will have a field day with us getting a point here, who will get singled out? Waghorn oh wait turns out given the chance to play injury free he's not the worst player in the world. Whitbread? Wait he looks ok too. Vardy? He scored again today. Dyer? No actually he's been playing well. We are playing well overall, we're only 4 points behind 2nd the season is not over bring on Millwall next week.
Danno Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 Celebrating a draw at home to Barnsley. Mid table here we come

If we'd have played at our best we would have. We obviously had a mare. I'd argue the people who showed disrespect to the opposition and thought it would be an easy game are some of the players, just as was the case when we were 2-0 up against Derby and could have easily paid for it. We're aware we will have bad games, this was one of them.
lavrentis Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 Terrible atmosphere for most of it I thought, saw someone in a liverpool coat, saw someone wearing christmas lights, surrounded by moaning shouters who doesnt think Vardy is championship material, and a steward telling me to sit down when I was standing for a corner. That said, 1 point is better than none

Who's assuming we're a force to be reckoned with and "putting away" teams We're having our best season for a whole ****ing decade & people still aren't happy because they think we have an absolute right to be in the top 2. I'm as disappointed as anyone when things do go swimmingly well, but FFS majority of people on here need to get real and think about where we've come from this season over what's preceded it for the past decade (it's not like we're Cardiff who've been at the top of this table for what seems like forever) & even in outspending the rest of the division added together over the previous 2 seasons to this one saw Sven's teams finish a bloody disappointing mid-table, not once but twice, whereas now we're involved in a genuine promotion season and unlike before it's not a false dawn. Is a draw at home disappointing? Yes Is it worth the anger & bitterness that many morons are putting on it? No In the end that point could tip us into 6th.... or maybe, just maybe 2nd - but lets enjoy the ride along the way, it's the best one we've had for a very, very long time. so kick the cat/dog in frustration... stop assuming we have a 'right' and move on
Ely fox Posted 8 December 2012 Posted 8 December 2012 Pathetic ... all our resources and we can't beat one of the weakest teams in the division and at home! Again we are not clinical enough. With this team we are heading for the play offs, need to strengthen asap imo.
