Bullard is decent IMO. Driving is a big plus. Chipping not so much.

Would like to have seen how he did in qualifying.

Rumour has it he bottled it last minute but the official line is he's injured.

Agree his short game lets him down but his long game is excellent.

Hayden Springer shoots a 59 in the John Deere.

In sporting achievements, in my opinion, that's the hardest 'perfect' thing you can do.

Comparing it to something like a 9 dart finish or a 147 snooker break, there are so many more variables.

Rumors that Keegan Bradley set to be named US Ryder Cup captain.

Didn't see that coming at all.

Bradley might be an inspired choice or equally a car crash - could go either way.

I really didn't like him after his spat with Jimenez and his previous RC antics but he's grown up a bit since then and I've warmed to him.

The fact he's never been a vice captain could work against him but he could also start a riot at Bethpage with his patriotism.

Interesting times...

What a stroke of luck for big Bob Mac getting that free drop off a sprinkler head in three foot rough lol

Note to self: Keep a sprinkler head in my bag.

Had a small bet on Bryson for the open. A links course should be perfect for him to just hit it as hard as he can and not get into any real trouble. If his approach game and putting is on point he'll go close IMO.

Bryson's a decent shout and I think he'll be there or thereabouts.

About time we got a European major winner but I've got a feeling Morikawa might win it again.

Just booked a round for Friday at Stranraer Golf Club, before driving up the west coast on Sunday for the final day of The Open.

The Scottish weather will not ruin my weekend

Going by the scores being posted presumably conditions are quite tough at Troon ?

Yeah, the winds up and its started to rain - beautiful. I love seeing the pro's struggling in these conditions. It's a major and it's meant to be tough.

Anything under par today is a decent round.

Not a good opening round for him.

Rory too.

I saw he was +7 after 13 earlier.   Ended up +6.

Mcintyre +1 doesn't look a bad score at the moment
