Played my first ever 18 holes earlier this week. Had only ever done pitch and putt and driving range previously about 15 years ago.

Started off horrendous but improved and managed to get a par on the par 3, 17th which I couldn't believe.

I'm now obsessed and want to play all of the time.

Man got the bug :D

Welcome to the most intense, frustrating, magical, annoying, brilliant, time consuming, expensive, relationship of your life

English teenager Kris Kim stunned the golfing world on his PGA Tour debut, as he became the youngest player to make the cut on tour in nine years – and the youngest ever at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, surpassing the record previously set by Jordan Spieth in 2010.

 He's 16.

This is sublime from Rory. Not many better sights in sport than McIlroy in full flow.

Nice to see him putting well. When he drives it as good as he does and has a decent week on the greens he's a match for Scottie.

He'll go to Valhalla full of confidence at the PGA where he's won before.

Great start to the PGA. Xander's 62 was incredible and Rory continuing his form with a 66.

Nice to see big Bob McIntyre mixing it with the big boys too and interested to see how Scottie does later on.

Saw a clip where a dozen or so competitors were asked what they think a normal club scratch golfer would shoot around Valhalla and the average answer was mid 80's :o

World No. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler was detained by Louisville Metro Police Department on Friday morning while trying to drive into the entrance of Valhalla Golf Club, the site of this week's PGA Championship.

Traffic outside the golf course had been stopped after a man was struck and killed by a shuttle bus around 5 a.m. ET.

According to ESPN reporter Jeff Darlington, who witnessed the incident, Scheffler was trying to drive around the crash scene on a median. A police officer instructed Scheffler to stop, but he continued to drive about 10 to 20 yards toward the entrance.

At one point, an officer attached himself to the side of Scheffler's car. Scheffler stopped his car as he turned into the entrance of Valhalla Golf Club.

After about 20 to 30 seconds, Scheffler rolled down his window to talk to the officer. The officer grabbed Scheffler's arm to pull him out of the vehicle, according to Darlington. The officer reached inside the vehicle to open the door, and once Scheffler was pulled out, he was pushed against the car and placed in handcuffs.

Darlington was standing at the entrance when Scheffler was detained. Darlington said Scheffler turned to him and asked, "Can you help?"

According to Darlington, an officer instructed him to back away.

"You need to get out of the way," the officer told Darlington. "There's nothing you can do. Scottie Scheffler is going to jail."

Makes me think he's lucky.
