Did 18 at my home course, Staverton Park, yesterday.

Shot 81.

16, 17 and 18 were like playing in The Open on a Sunday, I was desperate to break 80. Par, par, bogey would've done it, but I bogeyed the lot!

2 birdies on the card, both set up by two of the best approaches I've hit in my life.

9 iron from 135 to within a foot of the hole, then 3 holes later, a wedge from 120 to 3 feet.

Made some tiny tweaks at address and seems to be working.

Shot 84 yesterday and 100 today. Both at the same course. Golf eh.

Nuts ain't it?

I've literally been round a course in 4 over par, then in treble digits the week after.

And I don't think I'm swinging any differently.

Just makes you appreciate how incredible the pro's are.

And they have bad rounds and land in water.

Rory, JT and some guy named Tiger, paired together at Riviera today.

Tiger birdies the last 3 holes!

And all of them birdied the last.

Smiling, at the end, they all seem like mates, which makes it better.

I know Rory and Tiger are mates, but seems like Thomas is like that too.

Not sure what this uproar about the tampon is about.

If girls can hit it as far as men, why do they play off red tees?

Kind of missing the point. Everyone knows men hit it further than women. Tiger pre-planning an unfunny joke and actually going to the trouble of taking a tampon out on the course in the event he might out-drive one of his playing partners shows he has some deep-seated 'issues'. But then we've known this about Tiger for quite a while.

Not really.

1. You might not find it funny, but JT might have.

2. You’ve never ever took something with you somewhere on the off chance you might be able to make a joke out of something?

3. It’s not unfunny either.

2. Strangely enough, I've never felt the need to take a tampon (or any other prop) out on the golf course and hand it to my brother on the very rare occasions I out-hit him off the tee. But then my 'bantz' is obviously not at the advanced level of your's or Tiger's.

‘Bantz’ 🤮

It’s just a laugh

Not sure what woods was thinking, he either doesn't care or is incredibly naive.

He was thinking, I'm gonna have a laugh and take the piss here...

Not sure why he had a tampon at hand, or why he thought he needed a prop for the gag though.

Maybe it was just ultra relevant to JT and Tiger and something they had joked about in the past?

I don't think you can say this prank is borne out of having 'deep-seated issues' whether he's got them or not.

Classless joke yes, but nothing more than that on face value and nobody has any info available to them to suggest otherwise.

It's all a bit exhausting

What's everyone's favourite golf course in the Midlands?

I think the Midlands is severely underrated when it comes to golf, OK some areas in England have an embarrassment of riches but we've got some very good tracks.

Luffenham Heath, Little Aston, Beau Desert, Hollinwell, Sherwood Forest, Coxmoor, Edgbaston are all courses that hold their own and then there's obviously The Belfry (Brabazon and PGA), Forest of Arden and JCB.

Any hidden gems? I love Finham over Coventry and Ladbrook Park in Solihull. In Leicestershire I've always enjoyed Lingdale the best, ahead of my club Hinckley.

Best courses in the midlands in my opinion would be:

EAST MIDLANDS

Luffenham Heath

Hollinwell

Coxmoor

Rutland Water (underrated imo)

Rothley Park (very speedy greens in summer)

WEST MIDLANDS

Sutton Coldfield

The Belfry (except the derby)

Walmley

Coventry GC

Forest of Arden (arden course rather than aylesford)

STAFFORDSHIRE

Beau Desert

South Staffordshire

Whittington Heath

NORTHAMPTONSHIRE

Northants County GC

Only 9 holes (18 with diff tee's) but I really love the Charnwood Forest course.

Really lovely setting

Hmmmmm.....im going to politely disagree on that one based on three factors i really dont like

1) A lot of blind shots. I dont mind if you have maybe one in a round like you see on a links, but this is an aspect of course design I really dont like.

2) The course utilises the lie of the land poorly. All the holes run the opposite way to the lie of the land. In summer this means the course ends up being ridiculously bouncy with everyone landing in the wrong spots all the time, regardless of the shot they hit.

3) Course is built on a piece of land that is far, far too small to have a good golf course on.

The Fitzy episode of Full Swing is brilliant isn’t it? The power of just grafting harder than anybody else.

Longcliffe is my Leics No1.

Played Luffenham in November, but two greens were on temps due to holes being redeveloped and they only knocked us £10 off the price which I thought wasn’t enough

Lots of people raving about Kirby Muxloe recently, but I’ve never played
