Just watching the Scottish Open.

 

What a setting that is for a round of golf.

 

Brings back good memories of a couple of rounds played last year along the coastline of the Firth of Forth.

 

They even just zoomed in on Bass Rock on the TV!

 

Tonight, I'll be talking the Mrs into a week away in Scotland again :sweating:

Yep, he plays off a +1.3 handicap and shot a gross 69 in the first round of this event.

Superb from Rory earlier, to birdie those last 2 holes, in that wind, was pretty incredible stuff.

 

I was convinced he'd missed that last putt, his body language seemed to confirm the same thing.

 

I really hope he can repeat it next week.

Basically his home course isn’t it. Hope he pushes on today to give himself a good chance over the weekend. Weather will probably turn tomorrow so if he can get any sort of lead he’s laughing and right in the mix. 
 

Max Homa is nicely placed for me, and I wouldn’t rule out Scheffler either.
