VinceNoir Posted 22 May 2013 Posted 22 May 2013 A close up of it. I hate it when they put the badge on a patch, looks so much better when they embroider it properly. I agree. Other than that daft shield, it looks pretty smart.
MC Prussian Posted 22 May 2013 Posted 22 May 2013 Real Madrid's new away shirt: Couldn't have gone for a cheaper design, eh?
Narborough_fox Posted 22 May 2013 Posted 22 May 2013 Real Madrid's new away shirt: Couldn't have gone for a cheaper design, eh? That's the England one-day shirt isn't it?!
AjcW Posted 23 May 2013 Posted 23 May 2013 Looks like Lotto enjoyed the Italy template as much as we did..... Also enjoying the Lotus 3rd kit there
Fox_in_spain Posted 25 May 2013 Posted 25 May 2013 Not quite a new kit...but Everton's new badge... Old New
Kitchandro Posted 25 May 2013 Posted 25 May 2013 What's the point in all these new badges? Their old one was fine. Just as ours was fine in the late 90s before they started fiddling with it.
kingfox Posted 25 May 2013 Posted 25 May 2013 Everton are my second team as I've mentioned before. But I have to say the new badge, looks like the Beehive in Winnie the Pooh, with a pointer top.
Fox in the North Posted 25 May 2013 Posted 25 May 2013 I hate how club badges are becoming simplified generally.
Jordan Posted 25 May 2013 Posted 25 May 2013 What's the point in all these new badges? Their old one was fine. Just as ours was fine in the late 90s before they started fiddling with it.The new Everton badge is much easier to use and more clean-looking for digital media. I'd guess that's one of the reasons (besides merchandise sales) behind Everton's decision.IMO City's badge has aged well thanks to the tweaks made to it. The font on the original version of the fox/cinquefoil badge is essentially Times New Roman and awfully boring.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 I like our current badge, It looks quite menacing but traditional at the same time. Hope they don't feel the need to change it, minus the odd tweak like adding a shield/font. When I worked at the club as a waiter, one of the suites is behind the big glass badge on the front of the ground and the eyes line up perfectly with the windows too the suite. Looks quality from the inside!
emmo1987 Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 Not quite a new kit...but Everton's new badge... Old New and the winner of design the new badge competition goes to a 5 year old
Harry - LCFC Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 I don't think it's so bad. Still prefer the old one but there are far worse out there than that.
Voll Blau Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 All part of expanding the appeal of the "brand" to the overseas markets no doubt.
Fox in the North Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 EA Guingamp Patrick kits FC Lorient Macron Home
Harry - LCFC Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 Decent England away. I want us to wear red as our home kit. Think it looks a lot better. Anyone agree?
lavrentis Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 Decent England away. I want us to wear red as our home kit. Think it looks a lot better. Anyone agree? No.
StanSP Posted 26 May 2013 Author Posted 26 May 2013 I prefer red as the home kit, too. Really like that away effort though.
Harry - LCFC Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 No. Any particular reason why? You're welcome to your opinion of course but I'd just like to hear why you prefer white to red.
kingfox Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 Now that England away shirt is nice, very very nice. Much better than the White one.
Jordan Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 All part of expanding the appeal of the "brand" to the overseas markets no doubt. Or, it could be a simple matter of just improving upon a cluttered, dated logo.
Kitchandro Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 Or, it could be a simple matter of just improving upon a cluttered, dated logo. But it wasn't cluttered, it just looked like a proper badge for a proper club. The new one looks amateurish and non-league. As for ours, it looked far smarter and more striking when the fox was a different colour.
Samilktray Posted 26 May 2013 Posted 26 May 2013 The 2 Nike England shirts are probably better than anything Umbro ever gave us.
