Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 1 June 2013 Posted 1 June 2013 As is the new Monaco badge. Monaco's new crest is just another modern version of a crest that didn't need adjusting, it's all for copyright and that. So many badges vandalised like that in the last few years. How is it possibly a bad thing? Surely it's exactly what this Russian guy wants in terms of creating a brand and a better identity for his purchase? No one knows the club as ASM FC, people don't associate with the initials outside of Monaco / France. They've tidied up a fairly bland crest without completely insulting the tradition of it and managed to slap the name MONACO across it - it's miles better than the previous badge. It's not too far different from us changing the font on the City crest, or giving the fox a white nose. I understand why they've done it and I don't see one or two tweaks as 'vandalism' considering the core of the badge has remained virtually unchanged, which is where you can draw further comparisons to the tweaks to our crest recently. I MEAN - FOOTBALL CHANGE I HATE MODERN FOOTABLL RAR RARARAME D<AM DMNAM<D BNLBNLJABD LJABL. It's no different to when clubs have altered badges in bygone eras, but whenever it happens in the present day people take a stance against it as they see it as some sort of signifier to everything they hate in the modern game. It's happened for yonks and some folk need to stop being dead set against change for change's sake and take their "AGAINST MODERN FOOTBALL" specs off.
MC Prussian Posted 1 June 2013 Posted 1 June 2013 As is the new Monaco badge.I like the new badge, it's way slicker than the old one. Reminds me of what Arsenal did with theirs.Besides, there have been much worse examples at other clubs over the years.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 1 June 2013 Posted 1 June 2013 West Ham United Adidas leaked The away kit is nice. Not too sure about the white stripes on the home one.
Libertine Posted 1 June 2013 Posted 1 June 2013 We are genuinely going to end up with everyone having an Adidas kit.
Chilwell_Fox Posted 1 June 2013 Posted 1 June 2013 I cannot believe that the FA want to charge people £55 for the most lazy design I have ever seen. http://englandstore.thefa.com/stores/fa/products/kit_selector.aspx?selector=533

I'd even let you go first on Leigh.

The Monaco badge really isn't that bad. They've obviously had to modify it so that it translates slightly better globally. They've been pretty respectful to the previous design but made it more apparent that ASM is Association Sportive de Monaco. Quite a few French clubs have the same problem, Lille used to have just LOSC on their badge, Nice just have NOGC.
stevelcfc Posted 1 June 2013 Posted 1 June 2013 Is it just me that actually likes the new England shirt?

Tom17LCFC Posted 1 June 2013 Posted 1 June 2013 Is it just me that actually likes the new England shirt? Exactly what an international shirt should be!! Very tidy.
Kitchandro Posted 1 June 2013 Posted 1 June 2013 I don't see what you could possibly like about the England kit. There's nothing going on on it. And it's pretty much exactly the same as the last 3. If I was going to buy a football shirt instead of a normal t-shirt I'd expect a lot more than that.
Raw Dykes Posted 1 June 2013 Posted 1 June 2013 Is it just me that actually likes the new England shirt? I think it's pretty good, but I can see why people think it's a lazy design - it is very plain. I'm just glad England's kit has finally got the right colours back.
lavrentis Posted 1 June 2013 Posted 1 June 2013 Plain shirt > Overkill with design. It screams classiness. Might be the first England shirt I'll buy since I was about 16

I'm just glad England's kit has finally got the right colours back. It might be ok if it didnt scream west germany from the 70's . Plain yes but you can hardly tell its navy not black from a distance.
Kitchandro Posted 1 June 2013 Posted 1 June 2013 Plain shirt > Overkill with design. It screams classiness. Might be the first England shirt I'll buy since I was about 16 It's the other way round for me. Trying and getting things wrong now again isn't a crime, bringing out the same kit every year and expecting people to pay £50 is insulting. Plain boring shirts don't scream classiness, they scream 'I can't be arsed to put any thought into this, and why should I when they'll buy it anyway?'

Or just wait til the world cup and get it at sports direct for £20 or a cheap chinese site now for a tenner.
Kitchandro Posted 2 June 2013 Posted 2 June 2013 Or just wait til the world cup and get it at sports direct for £20 or a cheap chinese site now for a tenner. I wouldn't get it at all, not even worth a tenner IMO. And that's even if I really cared about the England team.
CKB Posted 3 June 2013 Posted 3 June 2013 I'm glad i see more people actually liking the England kits, i like them myself but at the price they are? no way....
Jaspa Posted 3 June 2013 Posted 3 June 2013 Dont like the White one, but the Red shirt looks very good; sweat seems to bring out a more vibrant colour Prolly geddit when its cut-price, I just hope it doesnt get soiled with failure like a couple of the England kits of the last 11/12 years
CKB Posted 3 June 2013 Posted 3 June 2013 I'd probably get a knock off one on the cheap! (England kit that is)

Guest Posted 4 June 2013 Posted 4 June 2013 New Albion away one (best pic I can find atm) Better than that lime green and black effort IMHO
