Dan Posted 14 February 2013 Posted 14 February 2013 Moreno's not a terrible shout. Looked poor at centre half but not too bad on the ball, could've done a job in centre mid.
Donut Posted 15 February 2013 Posted 15 February 2013 In recent memory, i quite liked Johnny Hayes on the few times we actually saw him. Always looked cultured to me and could deliver dangerous balls.
Guy Posted 15 February 2013 Posted 15 February 2013 Hossein Kaebi. My, I'd simply forgotten about half of these half baked "one for the future" signings in the more recent managerial merry-go-round-itis seasons! Ones like the above and Lamey, who barely played and were never seen again in a blue shirt not long after you'd read about them being in our squad! The next thing you knew, you'd then be reading up about them next in the "Ex Files" part of our matchday programme!
shen Posted 15 February 2013 Posted 15 February 2013 I remember when Paintsil signed and what a signal of intent that was. No idea what happened during his time here, but since he was virtually an ever-present for Ghana up until now, I can only assume he fell out with the management...
Ziggy1990 Posted 15 February 2013 Posted 15 February 2013 Moreno is a cracking shout. Has done well since returning to Portugal i believe. A crying shame that Sousa was a complete tool and played him centre half. .....Sergio Hellings too
Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 15 February 2013 Posted 15 February 2013 Roman Bednar On a serious note, Lee Hendrie. Always liked him & thought he would have been decent in league one.

No idea what happened during his time here, but since he was virtually an ever-present for Ghana up until now, I can only assume he fell out with the management... Yeah. That was a weird one. He hardly played under Sven or NP. Took his time returning from the ACoN I think, but he didn't play much before that, anyway. There has to be something to it we don't know about.
Zingari Posted 15 February 2013 Posted 15 February 2013 Jack Hobbs definitely yes , Michael Morrison too maybe
The Blur Posted 15 February 2013 Posted 15 February 2013 Pantsil, Bell and Yeates Especially Yeates, he is not doing too badly at Watford.
Babylon Posted 15 February 2013 Posted 15 February 2013 There are some woeful players mentioned in this thread... I'm not even sure it's serious! The only ones I wish got more of a chances are the ones who went on to better themselves elsewhere. So we're left with a list of very few names!!
Manwell Pablo Posted 15 February 2013 Posted 15 February 2013 Moreno is a cracking shout. Has done well since returning to Portugal i believe. So he must be good. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sergio_Hellings That's how he rolls

I'm not sure posters are saying that they wished these players were still here , more like at the time they left , their replacements were either no better or even inferior . The list isn't illustrious by any means though

Apparently he's "plying his trade at FC Barcelona too"
CosbehFox Posted 15 February 2013 Posted 15 February 2013 Morrison and Hobbs would have both probably slotted in alongside Big Wes, dead easy. Moussa and Adams were both players who were excellent on the ball but Pearson seemed no fan due to their size. They are now in the top midfielders of League 1 with a high likelyhood of being in the Championship next season. Would have been a lot better than Wellens and Gallagher on Tuesday night. Vitor has completely fell out of favour at Benfica and is playing for their B side. In O'Neill's days, Mark Robins was marginalised but it was a brilliant player with the knack of being a great supersub.

Hats off to the clown behind this Marco Van Basten said of him in 2007 "He's a bit of me, a bit of Gullit, a pinch of Rijkaard with a touch of Cruyff thrown in" Genius.
Langston Posted 15 February 2013 Posted 15 February 2013 James Chambers never really got a look in in his favoured right back slot during our relegation season (I'm aware our defence wasn't THAT bad so in some respects it's understandable).
