Mark_w Posted 20 February 2013 Posted 20 February 2013 I'm not blind to anything buddy. As far as I can see, Zola, Ollie, McKay and Bruce are sitting above us in the table. This may not be the case in the final shake-up, but now it's fact. Again... Having had no more time nor money than Nige has had. Should this situation turn round, ill stand down.. But they've all played more games than us.
Guest Col city fan Posted 20 February 2013 Posted 20 February 2013 But they've all played more games than us. Rather have points on the board at this stage Marky w..
Happy Fox Posted 20 February 2013 Posted 20 February 2013 I think it would be criminal because if the margin was that close, would a change really bring us that much closer to promotion or would the disruption just set us back again? If we were that close I think another season would be justified. Either way the owners have to make a decision to back NP in the summer to bring in 3 players to give us a chance of fighting for the title next season or find a new manager ( my preference would be either be Di Matteo or Adkins) with the players NP has developed and hope he gets us promotion.
Mark_w Posted 20 February 2013 Posted 20 February 2013 Rather have points on the board at this stage Marky w.. Yes, we'd all rather that. But you can't say that they're doing a better job than Pearson, based on the fact that they're higher in the league, when we haven't played as many games as them.

BUT He's exceeded YOUR expectations, AND those you have mentioned have had more time. Or rather more games, meaning more points to be won. I'll leave Babs to fight you over money... I know what you're saying, that we are on a downward curve at the moment. It does happen. This time last year we were begging for two wins together, so the bigger curve, and the important, long term, success-defining curve, is upward. So no, not NP out, and no, it's not realistic. I hope you will stand up rather than down: if bloody seenitall's back you can stand up and stop filling in for him...

I'm making a comparison with other managers who have had no more time, nor resources than Nige, yet are doing rather better.. Aka Pearson is NOT doing as well as many are suggesting. Simple.. Take it or leave it..

Never been away, just can't believe the show of faith for a very underperforming manager over the past two and now potentially three seasons. Gonna hurt if bloody Hull get the second spot though, both me and Nige
kingfox Posted 21 February 2013 Posted 21 February 2013 All this arguing is pathetic, so childish from people.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 21 February 2013 Posted 21 February 2013 hilarious. genuinely hilarious. completely rebuild a team with generally quality signings, reducing the wage bill, get in to the top two, play good football. sure, have a few flaws but not anything worrying. there's more clowns following this team than at a Ronald McDonald convention. This.

kingfox Posted 21 February 2013 Posted 21 February 2013 All this bitching is pathetic, just sack Pearson and appoint this guy
Hugo Sanchez Posted 21 February 2013 Posted 21 February 2013 When i posted as ash17lcfc i told everyone we would go down holloway but no one listen and laughed at me and called me a moron. I WAS RIGHT AND YOU WERE ALL WRONG! Sack pearson or we wont go up and i be telling told you so in may again.

kingfox Posted 21 February 2013 Posted 21 February 2013 You're a moron. So is Waghorn in front of goal.
Babylon Posted 21 February 2013 Posted 21 February 2013 Rather have points on the board at this stage Marky w.. Perhaps with one of them as manager we would have already won the games in hand without actually having to play them.

dannythefox Posted 21 February 2013 Posted 21 February 2013 There is so much wrong with this post I don't even know where to start. Yeh but let's be fair you never agree with anything I have to say, it's people like you that need to wake up!

Babylon Posted 21 February 2013 Posted 21 February 2013 Yeh but let's be fair you never agree with anything I have to say, it's people like you that need to wake up! There is a good reason I rarely agree with you. You say little that warrants agreement. I would perhaps suggest someone playing fantasy football needs to wake up. Do you think it's that easy to get rid of players on big contracts if nobody is willing to take them on?

Do you think it's that easy to get rid of players on big contracts if nobody is willing to take them on? Ipswich wanted to keep Wellens and Shef utd defo want to keep Gally I know that for certain. I only need to look through most of your posts and you clearly think you opinion counts more than others! And I don't know what you do for a living but you spend far to much time on here!
indierich06 Posted 21 February 2013 Posted 21 February 2013 Ipswich wanted to keep Wellens and Shef utd defo want to keep Gally I know that for certain. I only need to look through most of your posts and you clearly think you opinion counts more than others! And I don't know what you do for a living but you spend far to much time on here! Wanting to keep them and being able to afford to keep them are two different things. Thanks to Sven, half of the players he left here are on tens of thousands of pounds a week - way more than they're worth. I'm not saying they're bad players, or that nobody would want them, but they're not going to take a pay cut and who is going to want to pay well over the odds for these players in terms of wages as well as paying a transfer fee? Nobody, that's who. They're all happy to take these players on loan for a month or two, but you won't find many teams interested in signing them permanently because they represent very poor value for money.
indierich06 Posted 21 February 2013 Posted 21 February 2013 I think it's gotta be about making comparisons surely? I see this as another way of looking at it. Zola at Watford has been in the job no longer than Pearson. Ollie at Palace has been in the job a relatively short time. McKay at Cardiff took over about the same time as Pearson I think? Bruce at Hull took over at the start of the season. Now financially, Leicester have equally as much muscle as any of these other clubs, if not moreso? Has Pearson, vis a vis these other guys, therefore really done such a fantastic job as people are suggesting? He inherited a squad assembled at far more expense than any of the others. Yes, Sven was a huge Fook-up but did leave us with the likes of Kasper and Nuge. Comparatively, it could be argued that Pearson actually HASN'T done fantastically well? The thing that bothers me is that all the aforementioned managers at the aforementioned clubs seem to be getting better, whereas we don't. Just another way of looking at it.. Yes, he has done a fantastic job. There's no other way of looking at it. We've not had as good a season as this for ten years. That's a fact. Pearson took a team full of mercenaries and underperformers, moved players on, cut the wage bill and brought in better players for less money - that's also a fact. Pearson has us playing good, attacking football while having the meanest defence in the league. Another fact. These other managers at other clubs 'look to be getting better' - yeah, they've all climbed above us in the table, must be because they're getting better and we're getting worse. Or maybe it's due to the fact that they've all played two more games than us. You can't judge us or Pearson for not being above these teams in the table when we've not had the same opportunities to get points on the board as they have. It's nonsense. And how you can say we're getting worse when we've had a couple of dodgy results off the back of a 5 game winning run is ridiculous. Having a blip every now and then is frustrating, but it happens. It's natural to be a bit frustrated, but to suggest that its because the team is 'getting worse' is just daft, the league table shows we're where we are because we have a good team - they're not just going to turn shit. I don't think it's any surprise that our form has turned since two players who were key to our recent winning run (Wood & James) got injured and had to sit out for a while, now they're back and once they've had a game or two I would expect things to get back to normal. I usually agree with a lot of the stuff you post, but you're wrong on this one I'm afraid.
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 21 February 2013 Posted 21 February 2013 It could be he is a ficking genius, he's got us out of the cups, play poor a few games so other teams think they have sussed us, then wham we go on a unbeaten run untill the end of the season and win the league on goal difference on the last day of the season with Waghorn scoring a hat trick
