I can't believe Pearson in charge still. Untill he's been sacked I'm not wasting anymore time or money. I was gonna go tomorrow but im not wasting my money anymore.

Pass me a tissue lol

Honestly, if they're giving up on the season already then I'm glad they're not coming back. I don't care if the club needs them financially or not, if you can turn your back on your club after 30 years because of one month's worth of bad results, then I don't want you associated with my club because it's embarrassing. My opinion, I don't care what anyone else thinks. Good riddance.

There you go again, looking for rationale behaviour in FT'ers !!! Don't you ever learn ?! Most people spend their life looking for evidence to prove they are right for believing what they believe, rather than trying to get to the 'truth' of something ! Way back in my 20's, I used to teach a lad called Hayden Mullins. My buddy ran the Reading Under 13's at the time and I told him about this real powerhouse of an athlete coming his way for a trial. He didn't pick him. Can't remember why. My point - sorry - even ten years or so later when Hayden was trotting out for West Ham and Portsmouth et al, whenever I watched a game he was invovled in with the guy who'd declined the opportunity to pick him as a 13 year old, he still drew my attention to every single slight error the lad made in the TV game !!! 10 years on ! He could still ignore all of the good stuff to dig around and find the one piece of evidence that backed up his original decision. I think we all do that to a degree - form an opinion and then spend all of our time searching for people that agree with it and information to back it up. These boards are such a great example of that !

Yes because loyal fans staying away is brilliant. I guess you're not in any line of work dealing with customers ?

'I can't believe Pearson in charge still. Untill he's been sacked I'm not wasting anymore time or money.'

Sounds more like petulance than loyalty to me.

We have to stick with him. We're still in the playoffs, the season is still going and yes, we do have a tough run in but I'd rather be where were are now than this time last year when he was righting a sinking ship. If we scrape through in 6th and get to the playoffs I'll be happy. I'll obviously be gutted if we don't go up but at the same time, we are moving in the right direction. We've made some good signings and the team is having a blip. Cardiff should not be a make or break game for NP or us. We need to keep going.

We're making chances, just not putting them away. Is it NFPs fault Harry Kane missed a sitter (the one on one) against Ipswich or that Woody missed the penalty against Blackpool? That's 4 points that could have been had on two gimmes almost. If they had gone our way, would we even be having this conversation?

Sorry, you're calling yourself a loyal fan but you're staying away when we're FIFTH IN THE LEAGUE. Fvck me, it's not like we're fighting relegation is it? Things could be better but they could be so much worse.

Dealing with customers my arse. You've got an agenda against the bloke and don't even bother denying it because you'll just embarrass yourself further (which looks very hard to do as well)

lol

You, sir, are the opposite of loyal, and everything that is wrong with this football club.

Loyal fans wouldn't stay away because of a bad run for one month of the season. If that's loyalty, they can stay away.

So having been through all those experiences, why are they such slow learners? Why now, of all times, are they so quick to stop going because of the team?

You have to think these people aren't the sharpest tools in the box.

Didn't you stop going becuse of the supporters and atmosphere?

They aren't quick to stop going, they had an opinion on NFP and his default football style, as they see it we hd a number of great games and then he bottled it and reverted to type.

The idea that we have only been bad for a month is a joke, this has gone on for months now wuth a 'blip' in between when we signed Wood.

I agree. It's called confirmation bias. It's how religion works. Some people think anything that supports their argument is evidence, while all the time ignoring anything which proves them wrong.

You can claim what you want but I know a number of people who have already given up on the season.

All of these people have supported this club for 30 plus years and the club will miss them, don't be a berk and sound like Pearson.

And as many people will stop going if the club once again over reacts and sacks a manager.

You will never please everyone. Don't like it don't go simple as that, nobody else gives a crap what you do.

That's the one. It's why, as a season-ticket holder sitting next to the same faces each week, you hear the same old crap about the same old 'scape-goats' ... because they all made up their minds about what they were looking for long before the players even walked on the pitch let alone started playing !! It also aligns with post-dissonance theory - hey .... stop snoring whilst I'm going off on one !!

Yes I did. Your point being? I've always been fair to whichever manager is in charge. Me not going is no reflection on the team or the manager. It's more a reflection on people like you.

No, what you're saying is a joke, fella. How can it have been going for months when little over a month ago we were 2nd? How do you work that one out? You don't get to 2nd on a 'blip', that's a retarded claim. I think it's telling that we've had such a mare over the last month or so and we're still 5th. We must have been doing something right before then.

What about the 7 we went unbeaten earlier in the season, with 6 wins? Have you forgotten about that? Did these people want to hand in their season tickets during that run as well?

You're wrong, these people are too quick to stop going if their reasoning is the team. They're really, really immature, childish even, if they're too pussy to handle a bad run without acting like little girls and throwing a hissy fit. We've gone from 2nd to 5th, it really isn't that bad. If they've been supporting us for 30 years they've seen a lot worse than this, I don't think I need to give you examples, there are plenty from the last 5 years alone.

I haven't seen a lot of games this season, but I've already seen more quality performances this season than the whole of last, of which I saw the most part.

I really wish these people would stop going and never come back; flushing out these disloyal, immature, miserable turdbags might actually help convince me to start going again. It's those kind of people that are poison to the club, the ones who give up and turn on the manager at any sign of trouble, probably because they've already made their mind up about him before anything has been proved yet. If they were in the army they'd be court martialed, if they were friends they'd quickly become strangers, and as football fans they piss every true supporter off.

You didn't like Pearson before he came back so it's no surprise you still want him out at the drop of a hat despite him obviously and statistically improving the team. Admit it, like so many you'd already made your mind up about him before he came and that bias still lives with you.

Surprisingly to the point......

NFP's default style is longball 4-4-2, I hugely enjoyed our passing game early season even though it came as a huge surprise. But sadly, after hitting the top spot in October our form has been in steady, but irregular decline.

I have been banging on for months that we need to play our aggressive passing game, both home and away, but the team has been progressively set up more and more negatively, I'm guessing because NFP was trying to hang on to his high league position rather than 'going for it' and trying to continue the drive for automatic promotion.

This lack of ambition first became obvious in the games against Palace and Millwall, where we set up negatively, got dominated and lost. This set the pattern which was really frustrating as, from time to time, we still showed how good we could be....... :frusty:

That would all be fine to say if it were YOUR club ... it's not.

I don't mean to cause offence ... but i simply don't get it.

You no longer go to the games because the fans piss you off .... but you carry on posting on here everyday and mix with those exact fans???

Nearly 10,000 posts on a forum in just over 2 years but you don;t attend the games???

That's a mystery to me.

Is that you Sven?

lol fair play!!

Quitting because of Pearson after 30 years of going suggests he's the worst we've had in that time which is just laughable considering the likes of Sousa, Megson, Allen, Levein, Kelly, Pleat.

If you've fallen out with football fine, but probably our best or second best season in a decade, decent home form and performances up until of late doesn't really stack up.
