hackneyfox Posted 12 March 2013 Posted 12 March 2013 So on your reckoning 15K will stop going. You're crazy! If they don't want to support fair enough they can **** off, I just wish they'd **** off this forum first! Of course 15k won't stop going, I put those figures up as so many on here have been moaning that the fans at the KP are negative, if the KP is negative then it must be a majority that make it so. Why should they **** off from this forum just because they don't agree with you. How arrogant can you be?
hackneyfox Posted 12 March 2013 Posted 12 March 2013 I never said people who disagreed with me should stop going - I'm happy for people to disagree with me, it makes life more interesting. What I said was that if fans who've been supporting the club 'for over 30 years' are willing to abandon the team after a poor patch spanning just one month, then as far as I'm concerned they won't be missed and I hope they don't come back if that's the case. The results have been poor for a month, but it isn't the only time this season when we've had a run of poor results. For a few/many it is the preformanes not the results that say most about where this team is headed and it hasn't looked good since we reverted to what many see as Pearson's default style, keep it tight at the back and clear it to a big man up front.
hackneyfox Posted 12 March 2013 Posted 12 March 2013 Out and get McDermott or RDM in now. Having said that he should only be replaced with a manager who we also want for next season, if they aren't available I suppose we have to stick with him.

Why should they **** off from this forum just because they don't agree with you. How arrogant can you be? The majority aren't vocal at all, beyond applauding good stuff & muttering under their breath the bad stuff. Beyond a boo at the end & a kick of the dog when they get home they'll still be there. Do the empty vessels who make the most noise speak for everyone? People will more likely stop buying season tickets because a) the price was up b) deals are offered to fans who buy matchday tickets c) kickoffs are all over the place and whilst people can get to the odd Friday evening or Saturday lunch/teatime... the fact it's been 15/23 kickoffs will have a big effect on people's decision making. And this also has a big effect on matchday ticket sales.
indierich06 Posted 12 March 2013 Posted 12 March 2013 It isn't the only time this season when we've had a run of poor results. But its the best season we've had for 10 years, that's a fact. If you've followed the club for over 30 years, you've been through some tough times - especially over the last ten years. So why you'd choose now to turn your back on the club after a few poor spells this season is beyond me and I stand by my original point - if you've had enough and decide you want to abandon the club afetr a few poor results, that's fine. But don't think you'll be missed and don't expect the fans who stick with the club through thick and thin to welcome you back with open arms when the good times are back again. For me, I'm happy to see them go if that's their attitude and if they stay away, all the better.

People I know have followed this club home and away for between 30 to 50 years, you may not miss them but the club will. I'm also fairly sure that should you not welcome them back they wouldn't give a **** one way or the other. If you think it all the better that such fans should stay away then you seriously deluded. How long have you been a paying fan yourself? By that I mean you actually put YOUR hand in YOUR pocket?

How long have you been a paying fan yourself? By that I mean you actually put YOUR hand in YOUR pocket? Oh dear, have I touched a nerve? Not that it even remotely matters but I've paid for my own season ticket every season since I was 17 when I got my first job. I didn't have one while I was at uni but I still managed to get to about 10-12 games a season and I manage about the same - maybe more - now I live in London, but I get to considerably more away games now. I'm afraid I can't live up to the records of your paragon chums who've been down every season for 30-50 years, but for me it doesn't matter how long you've been following the club - you don't turn your back on it no matter what happens. That's something I would never do regardless of manager, owners or fortune. I would support this club week in, week out if we were relegated to the Blue Square Premier League because it's the club I love and because loyalty means sticking around even when things get tough. I can't believe fans of over 30 years would contemplate doing that because of a couple of poor patches over one season or because they don't like the manager that much. If they walk because of the reasons I've stated then I don't care that they're going and I don't care if they come back, I'm sure the Thais will miss their cash, but not a lot else. You can try and convince me that these fans are the lifeblood of the club and that we need them and that we should be doing everything we can to try and get them to stay but I won't agree with you - all I see is a bunch of petulant children who have been through harder times than this and are old enough and have followed City long enough to know better. I won't miss them, there are many, many people who'll agree with me and if that's their idea of loyalty, they can keep it. I don't care if they go. I don't care if they come back. If they leave when we're 5th in the league and up with a chance for promotion in our best season for ten years then I think they're an embarrassment and I don't think they can really call themselves true Leicester City fans. My opinion. Try not to let it work you up so much.
hackneyfox Posted 12 March 2013 Posted 12 March 2013 Well it does matter as to how long you've been a paying customer, I'm trying to work out just how old you are. Jon the Hat summed it better than I can but it's something along the lines of getting older, maturing, having a life and alternatives to football. When the football is so poor that people who have followed the team for 30 plus years decide to jack it for the rest of the season and go with the alternative then something is badly wrong. I'm talking about people who have been to just about every game for the last 2 months and do 30 plus games a seson. Still you don't care so it doesn't matter, I only hope you don't run a business and have to interact with paying customers.

I respect people who can't afford to get down to games as much as they'd like and I understand that people have other priorities. I'm saving for a house myself so I've got no problem with people not going as much because they've got more important things to see to, but that has nothing to do with what I'm talking about and I've never suggested that at all. This is to do with people who are talking about turning their backs on the club when we're 5th in the table after a few defeats because they think there's so something badly wrong. That's not a financial decision. I'm as disappointed as anyone that we've slipped down the table, I think the last few games have been shit, but will I throw my toys out of the pram and stop supporting my club because everything's not rosy? No way.
MC Prussian Posted 12 March 2013 Posted 12 March 2013 Pearson out, eh? At least ten nine more games to prove the haters wrong.
flowwolf Posted 12 March 2013 Posted 12 March 2013 Pearson out, eh? At least ten nine more games to prove the haters wrong. Have we upset the Luton fans ?

Dan Posted 13 March 2013 Posted 13 March 2013 Don't worry everyone Hugo Sanchez rang me to say he's forgot his password and that's why he didn't post 'PEARSON OUT' ten seconds after Cardiff scored. He hopes he'll be back soon though.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 13 March 2013 Author Posted 13 March 2013 I was gutted yesterday, just when you think maybe just maybe our season back on track. They fooking throw it away.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 13 March 2013 Posted 13 March 2013 Pearson in or out? Make your mind up, people. couldnt care less who manages the club as long as we start playing well AND winning again very soon
Reynard Bleu Posted 13 March 2013 Posted 13 March 2013 How do you suddenly stop supporting your team just because its having a really bad run of results? It goes with the territory? When we got relegated to Div 1 now that was bad, real bad. We had had an awful season, the thought of playing Yeovil and the like shattered me. But I couldnt just stop, not go, never watch again. Whatever the state we are in, you still have to go consider them your team. Having said that, I can appreciate how frustrated people get when we go belly up against lesser opposition - and then do it again. Try yoga or scotch.

Dan Posted 13 March 2013 Posted 13 March 2013 I still think there are positives to reflect on from last night - we played far more passing football that brought us success rather than ineffective hoofball, the signs were there that he's realised his mistakes and although we've not won, I think if we continue playing like this we'll start looking ahead rather than behind us again. In other words if we play like that in the next three games, we'll take 9 points, IMO.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 13 March 2013 Posted 13 March 2013 Lets go again now for the rest of the season, 9 games, each one a cup final in its own right and then hopefully at least the play-offs after that
wurmer Posted 13 March 2013 Posted 13 March 2013 Lets go again now for the rest of the season, 9 games, each one a cup final in its own right and then hopefully at least the play-offs after that 9 draws wont do it.....
teblin Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 I have always been a supporter of Nigel but I think the owners may have lost the patience.
