acooling08 Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 I have always been a supporter of Nigel but I think the owners may have lost the patience. I have always been a supporter of Nigel but I think I may have lost the patience.
Monsell1976 Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 I have before said keep him for the remaining games, but now with no sign of improvement, bye bye Nigel. I think myself and the majority of leicester fans have no faith in his ability now.
Mark_w Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 I have always been a supporter of Nigel but I think the owners may have lost the patience. I have always been a supporter of Nigel, I still am. I don't know if the owners have lost patience with him, but if they have I'll have lost patience with them, because they'd clearly be as short sighted as some of our fans.
Deucalion Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 I think Pearson will be in until the end of the season. My one doubt is about Schlupp. I had previously supposed he was brought back because Konchesky was injured. But a thought struck me that maybe this wasn't the reason. We know that the owners have conversations with Paulo Sousa about the club and the other day on the radio, Sven said that he thought it would be a 'big loss' to Leicester to lose Schlupp. Is it too much to suppose that maybe the owners brought back Schlupp because they are starting to doubt his judgement on players? Schlupp, Gradel > Vardy
One Arm Babba Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Got to go now for me. This season is falling apart.
stillwater Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Two week break, Could be the time to get rid and bring in someone that can motivate the team
KFS Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 And you'd bring in... McDermott? People talking about Pearson needing time, this bloke would need even more. Adkins? Do we need Mr Happy walking around when our players need a kick up the arse? Di Canio? Absolute clown, I'd rather see Top take over. The only people I'd even support bar Pearson would be Lennon, O'Neill or a Walsh/Eliott/Izzet partnership. And that will never happen so keep the bloody man in charge, I'm sick of us being on the bloody manager merry-go-round. We need stability even if it means another season. Leicester City are a joke and the media love talking about our "money" and quick-fire hand with managers. Either way we're staying down so let him bring a few more in with quality and we'll romp it.
Troonfox Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Lennon? He thinks he's capable of Premiership or top flight in Spain/Italy on the basis of winning anon-competitive league in Scotland and getting lucky in Europe for one season

5waller5 Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 The owners will have surely learnt the lesson from last time and have a better manager lined up before sacking the one they've got??? For me i would risk Di Canio, and I'd take RDM as first choice...... can't get him then it's a tough choice. Can't see NP turning this around now though .... think he lost the changing room a few weeks back.
Guesty Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 As much as I want Pearson to succeed the more I see from the team I'm less convinced. We look great as a team when things are going well but when they're not we just wilt under the pressure. Throughout the season (even when we were on a good run) whenever we've gone behind I never have confidence we'll show some fight and pull it back. This one characteristic has me worried for the play-offs because you need to dig in and work for results and nothing I've seen this season makes me think it will magically appear in the play-offs if we hit adversity.. That being said no point in getting rid if no-one better wants to come. Adkins would be good, Di Matteo would never come and I think Di Canio would be terrible - he's just the Italian version of Roy Keane.
chris_lcfc_85 Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Not sure about the constant excitement of Di Canio or Adkins, neither guarantee anything.
5waller5 Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Not sure about the constant excitement of Di Canio or Adkins, neither guarantee anything. Noone guarantees anything .... it's whether you'd place a bet on either of them over NP for promotion. Right now I would.
Guest Col city fan Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 This ALL depends upon two things. 1. If you believe Nigel has gone off the rails. 2. If you believe bringing someone in NOW could put us back on the rails. If the answer to both is YES then a change is needed.
teblin Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Noone guarantees anything .... it's whether you'd place a bet on either of them over NP for promotion. Right now I would. Was going to say the same. Though Di Canio is a very big gamble. If he does go do you give it to someone Nigel Worthington style until the end of the season? Some one who might take it short term? I think is a massive risk. Pearson has turn bad runs around twice this season but there seems something different about this one.

But surely not one that would provide a good foundation for a premier league season if he achieved the success he was taken on for???
ty fox Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 i have been saying keep the faith for ages but now im thinking maybe a change is needed
dannythefox Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Not sure about the constant excitement of Di Canio or Adkins, neither guarantee anything. Adkins guarantees good football and most of the time good football gets results.
chris_lcfc_85 Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Noone guarantees anything .... it's whether you'd place a bet on either of them over NP for promotion. Right now I would. Not worth the risk for me with 8 games left. We're still 6th so promotion is still very much achievable Adkins guarantees good football and most of the time good football gets results. Dont get me wrong, he did very well at Southampton but 2 good seasons doesnt make him a god
funkyrobot Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Adkins guarantees good football and most of the time good football gets results. Not sure Adkins guarantees good football. Where did that come from?

Agree, I'm not saying thats what I would do but could be an option. My assumption would be that the guy would get the job id successful.

lestamitch Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 Stick wit Nigel till end if season, if e gets us up then we're up n it's happy days n giv him till October to pull off results, if not then new season new manager new hopes!!!!!!
Libertine Dream Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 I'm starting to think get rid now. The performances have been terrible since mid to late January(Cardiff and 1st half against Blackburn aside), the football has been awful and it appears to be getting worse. A new manager might just have one of those honeymoon buzz periods and if not it gives him the chance to look at and analyse his squad ready for improvements in the summer to go again
